Day 9,307 ± 180 of learning how to code: deciding on a scalable and testable data abstraction for the validation code in the microframework I'm writing. I think writing code you plan to open source is sometimes more stressful than closed source stuff #buildinpublic#golang
Got the first version of the #GoLang parser for my Test-Visualization tool working. Still a long way to go, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. It was a rough week. ._.
Add database migration guidance to my #golang#ddd application template and remove code that executes migration on startup to avoid confusion and temptation.
It’s nice and relaxing to go on holiday, but for me it also meant that for 2 weeks, between work and the trip, I haven’t had time to make progress on my uptime monitor app 😞
Why is every other post on my timeline saying: 'You use #ChatGPT? Wait until you find out about these 20 unknown weird #ai applications [that are probably using ChatGPT #APIs in the background]!'?
Recently I needed to do a stress-test of a service for my project at main work. It’s written in #golang and runs in docker container. I was a little bit confused when saw the results. So sharing this with #buildinpublic community.
the simplicity of writing #golang tests with Uber's fx library is such a productivity boost
basically, this automatically spins up only the required components (based on what arguments you pass) and then you can write a full integration test in seconds.
Just started building ReminderBot 🤖 in #Go! 🚀 A CLI tool for managing reminders & boosting productivity. Excited to build in public & share progress! #BuildInPublic#GoLang
Wrote a tool to export my WordPress content into Markdown. Gonna make it a bit easier to migrate my content over and track it as I go 🔥 #buildinpublic#golang
Helped a friend with a #ChatGPT slack bot written in #golang and I forgot how hipster Go is. So much confusing nonsense: 1. No Enums 2. Duck typing + bizarre method declaration syntax 3. Pointers (whyyyyyyyy???)
Lots of great features buried under bad dev ex. #buildinpublic
Spent the weekend adding tests, database migration scripts, and some automation to the @predictionguard API! Getting close to launch, and will be sending out invites to more people on the wait-list this week. Public launch coming in April.
Was looking at #NFT generators (based on PNG layers and probabilities), but did not find anything suitable, so I wrote one from scratch in #golang and I really enjoyed it.
More testing and a few more features tomorrow and it is done, just need the final art #buildinpublic

There's not a lot of information out there about nicely streaming audio or video content from a server (rather than progressive download). Blog post incoming maybe? Might even learn how to make educational coding videos.
I made a bad mistake 😱!!! When I started @Superthread_ about 2 years ago I decided not to build it for a mobile📱 interface. This meant that we had to catch up. We are not finished yet but we are getting there. Check it out! #buildinpublic#vuejs#golang#SaaS
Today for my #learntocode microservices #golang project, I used gRPC gateway and hooked that up to rabbitMQ. Seems like a pretty cool way to send messages across many services. #chatGPT told me it can also be used for decoupling code concerns and load balancing. #buildinpublic
I migrated/adapted Job Newsletter engine from old to the new job board platform codebase and added subscription widget to my boards like on fullstackjob.com or golangjob.xyz

Day 9: Today I did a interesting Project. "Interstellar Travel Agency" I have used functions in the Go programming language to get you to the planets of your choice. It was real fun! You can check it here: 👇 github.com/dsourav155/Int… #golang#buildinpublic#learninpublic
Did some light work on my scheduler this morning. I wanted better logging and a more consistent structure so I wrote a custom struct to wrap my jobs in. #buildinpublic#golang#OpenSource
Day 3: Today I did my first Go project. I have used variables and types in the Go programming language to maintain the catalog of items in my comic book store Comic Mischief. It was real fun! You can check it here: 👇 github.com/dsourav155/Com… #golang#buildinpublic#learninpublic
