Normalizing taking time off as a founder. I'm OOO this week, and staying off my projects. #buildinpublic
I found a fix for this and documented it in the forum post #buildinpublic

One big @bubble wishlist item -- being able to recognize addresses properly when uploading data directly via CSV. This would save me a ton of time. A quick 🧵:

Right now, I have to do this via a number of different steps.
Anyone running @bubble dev teams with multiple people working on the same app? I'd like to ask a few questions over a Zoom call #nocode #buildinpublic
Today I'm in #buildinpublic mode. If I'm missing anything and there's a better way to do things, I'm all 👀
Let there be known, if you're doing simple data transformation, Google Sheets is much more powerful than Apple's Number. #nocode #buildinpublic
Not just math, any logic chains, like when developing complex conditions @bubble #buildinpublic
Hey @bubble, can we please have brackets in the math operations.. Math is really hard without brackets :/
#nocode is a means to an end, not an end itself

#buildinpublic
Building a profitable app on @bubble is less about the bubbling and the responsiveness and more about the model on top of the app.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but here it goes:

Record your demos, people. Don't demo live unless specifically requested.

You never know what can go wrong, esp. early stage

Building demos is tricky.

You want to show enough to do the product justice, but you also need to keep the main thing, well, the main thing.

That means skipping over the intermediary steps and focusing on the core value prop. So no email confirmation flows.

We're taking @PrivateMarket to the next level by narrowing our focus. That means changing how our users access the platform - new workflows for the Directory, Profiles and Marketplace. Stay tuned. #smb #buildinpublic #nocode
Combine external datasets, proprietary data and the right #nocode tools, and you can clear up any opaque market out there. Just so happens that we believe #smbs will be responsible the most meaningful change in the next 20yrs

When building repeating groups with images, try to land on a maximum height, then use the Imgix crop feature (@bubble) to fit it in the box

It really cleans up the design

I needed this for a deal list in an account view

Without #nocode, I couldn't have been building @PrivateMarket so quickly and getting the feedback we need to grow in the right direction. A combination of @Lucidchart @bubble and lots of notepad sketches got the job done.

Simple @bubble hack to display centered text without having to deal with row/column alignment:

- add a condition that's always true and use text alignment = center

One thing that you learn the hard way in #nocode and in @bubble specifically is the importance of consistent, clear and distinct labeling. If you have an element that you configured and you copy it somewhere else on the page, make sure you change its name.

@nocodelife @bubble No more staring at loading screens for new plugins, yes! #buildinpublic
I wish @bubble had a way for me to preview initial content/data source in inputs and/or groups that are displaying database elements without me having to log in as some rando test user.

I wish I could do it in the builder UI.

Hi #nocode #buildinpublic! I'm still refactoring a couple of elements from the legacy to new responsive engine in @Bubble.

This morning, I discovered that I have too many subelements for the UI to display.

How do y'all deal with stuff like this?

Example below:
my #buildinpublic rant for today: Placeholder elements in the legacy @bubble responsive engine are so annoying. Anyone who still uses them should reconsider, because getting rid of them in the new responsive engine is a given. ☮️✌️
