After trying to close the paywall on the onboarding Face App shows a banner like that. They have a $7M income according to Sensor Tower, so probably it should work. Have anyone tried it?

My apps income timeline. In the beginning, I thought it will be easier. I was not ready that most of my actions will not have any effect. On the other side, I was surprised that some actions may double/triple your numbers. Pretty excited about the future.

Today I started a test for a paywall without trial after the onboarding. I'm using Amplitude, Firebase, and custom subscription analytics for it (you can use RevenueCat or another subscription service). I'll be measuring charges conversion after visiting a paywall.

Tried too general keyword in Search Ads for one of my apps, and got 5x lower LTV compared to good keywords. From my experience and a few ASA managers I had a talk about it, only 10% of all keywords makes most of the profit.

Icon test update: with my current traffic and conversion (~2k impressions/day and 6.8% impression to download) to verify 5% improvement I have to run test 129 days.
5% improvement - 129 days
10% improvement - 32 days
15% improvement - 14 days

Today I have $870 mrr with ASATools (SaaS) and $901 mrr with my apps connected to RevenueCat. Guessing who will cross $1k mrr first.

This year @asa_tools attributed 1.4M installs for 35 applications. Not that bad for a launch year. Technical part is ready, 2023 will be about scaling.

Benchmarks in new app store connect update. Hey #buildinpublic, how's your metrics?
Working on improving trial income predictions for @asa_tools. Here is one of my app data. When a customer starts a trial there's a 65% chance of conversion, but after an hour it is already 81%, and in 2 days - 93%. Will soon use it in our income predictions model.

Recent updates in time zone converter app changed search ads ROAS from 80% to 166%. Average LTV is now $0.69 from US search ads vs $0.37 global organic. Will try to find more target keywords to scale it.

Decided not to work with an entry segment right now, but redesigned pricing:
- accent on an annual discount
- mentioned support for multiple applications on one account
- pricing for 100k search ads installs/month

Let's see if it will affect sign-up conversion.

I'm now working on pricing for @asa_tools and need advice from other SaaS founders. What do you do with a customer segment who can't afford a regular subscription? For example I charge $99/m and there are customers who spend <$500/m on search ads 👇
