Super rough sketch/outline of a new marketing video I'm working on for @MediaNotesApp.

I've never done video creation/editing before so this should be a very interesting weekend of trial and error.

It's crazy how you can throw a rock and hit a new product idea.

Pretty productive morning before noon:

3 Bugs Fixed 🐞🐞🐞
2 Styling Updates 🎨🎨
1 Compatibility Improvement βš™

Taking a break, well, going to do regression test to make sure I didn't screw anything up. Then, pushing the update.

When does a bug become important enough to pause working on features to fix it πŸ˜•?

The most powerful quote I've heard this week is: Be who you want to become.

So simple, sometimes difficult to do, but so necessary to feel complete.

This last week has been crazy busy. I haven't even had time to check Twitter, let alone work on anything.

This week, I'm determined to get out of the rut before it becomes a hiatus.

Even if I only have 2 hours total this week, it's better than nothing.

Are first impressions important?

I often hear "ship as fast as possible" and "if you're not somewhat ashamed you've waited to long to ship it".

If you had someone you wanted to reach out to, to try your SaaS, how polished do you make it before doing so?

It's so hard not to chase squirrels when building.

Working on a few different videos for medianotesapp.com.

(3) 15-second ad style videos
(2) app walkthroughs
(1) long form ad style "telling the story" video

I now have tons more respect for video editors.

Since optimizing ASO, my impressions have jumped by 2-4x and rising.

It's only been 2 weeks so I'm hoping it continues to steadily climbs.

If you are using SwiftUI and and are looking for some easy to use components, check out the ones made by @pacosainzw.

Final tweet of the day.

I've been thinking about selling some IU components since people have been asking for the code.

Just set up a store if anyone is interested ;). More components to come in the near future

Anyone using metrics to track how their users are using their SaaS/App?

Is there anything better that can be used to know how a user is traversing through.

I'm currently using it to tweak a few UI things because user aren't doing the actions intended.

I wonder how many ai bootstrappers and #indiehackers will have to change routes now. Unless you have an app that targets a certain market, this will probably drive away most of the users looking to access ChatGPT on their phone.

I don't care to be in the 1%.

My goal is to be in the 2%.

The 2% do just fine lol

A big difference that I see in builders who are already developers:

Some builders know how to use specific tech & try to figure out what they can build with it

Other builders figure out what they want to build & learn the tech needed

The last 1 seems better

I love using context for 3rd party libs that need initialization + need to be used throughout an app.

I have a decent amount of these & I'm thinking about open sourcing it.

This is how I can turn @mixpanel metrics on & off while testing/developing new things

With summer coming, we may want to spend more time having fun and less work.

What's the longest time you've been away from your startup?

How did it perform during this time?

What things did you setup before taking time away?

What would you do differently?

TIL: The more metrics you add, the better.

For those with newsletters, it might be worth exploring making a few newsletter articles free and available on your site, so that users you drive to your site have a "reason" to sign up for your newsletter.

Otherwise it's like a blank check.

I had the strangest thing happen in my metrics. People would download app and not navigate anywhere for the last 2 days.

I reverted back to my release branch locally and low and behold, there is a bug that doesn't let users navigate anywhere but the homescreen πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ
