it's coming together nicely as you can see in this little #buildInPublic sneak peek πŸ‘€

it's not sending the actually reply yet, but that's what I'm working on next
Here's the v0.1 of what will eventually become a 1-minute demo for the new ThreadStart editor.

What I've realized so far:

❌ recording this in one take won't work
❌ using the fixed viewport won't work either
❌ there's waaay too much to show in 1 minute

#buildInPublic
Finished the porting logic for postings made with the old ThreadStart editor.

So, users with access to the new editor can port their old drafts to the new one now.

#buildInPublic
Shipped some improvements to

β˜‘ the engagement stats
β˜‘ the slots in the new editor

and I'm almost done with the "feature" to port old postings to the new editor 🀩

βš™ πŸ‘€

Finished the new settings page for ThreadStart this week. The old one massively got out of hand. It was one page that included everything.

Now you got nice little groups.

#buildInPublic
Oh, and these are the settings where you can configure the labels.

And yes, I only share it because I think they are pretty 😍

#buildInPublic
This is one of these changes that seem small but is actually very important.

It's been annoying for me, and even more so for users.

πŸ“– Story time...

Preview time πŸ‘€

The upcoming editor update will also tackle one issue a lot of you will have faced already: empty tweets in your postings list.

An important improvement many of you have asked for.
🚒 Wednesday Shipment #3

This fix was overdue.

The calendar now shows published postings only once. Previously they would show up once as scheduled & once as published.

All good now πŸ‘

(that's my actual posting calendar btw)
#BuildInPublic
Which empty state do you like best?

1. (current) short instruction
2. unobtrusive instruction
3. simple empty state

(leaving it blank looks bad)

I need some #buildInPublic help
I'm working on a cleaner design for the editor.

I reduced the size of the toolbar, removed the cards on the preview and moved the actions below the editor.

What do you think? #buildinpublic
The final @threadstartio update for today is a little improvement to the calendar view.

Giving it more space in general, color coding the difference between published & scheduled and highlighting threads. #BuildInPublic
ThreadStart Phase 2 - summary πŸ“ˆ

Long overdue, but these were the stats.

After 1 week of shipping in public

πŸ‘₯ visitors: 1200
πŸ“§ subscribers: 26
⏱ build time: 47 hours
πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» users: 16
πŸ’³ sales: 0

Goal of 1 user: β˜‘

I'll add Febuary numbers later today

I'm again and again amazed by @copy_ai

It's such an invaluable tool when working on the homepage copy. Not to mention they are a huge #buildinpublic inspiration
Basic Analytics for @threadstartio

I just want simple follower stats:

🟦 total amount
🟦 daily +/-

It'll be on an additional page in the app, where I'll add more and more analytics features over time. #buildinpublic

🧡 Thread πŸ‘‡
Instead of having two separate pages for posted threads & drafts I moved it to one page with a simple button to switch between them.

Also made some small design changes.

So much better now #buildinpublic
Previously had the editor and stats directly on the dashboard, that felt out of place (and was mentioned more than once by others)

Feel like this is better now. Still have the most important stats and a quick action list.

Adding some protective measures to the scheduling feature πŸ˜ƒ

Traded TDD for shipping quickly on this project.

It's now time to bring together what belongs together

I've built in public for πŸ”₯200 consecutive days on @getmakerlog! πŸ’ͺ

I mean today everything just falls into place 😊
