12/ I’m still tinkering with funnels & learning how to optimize them. If you see improvements I can leverage, let me know! Hope this helps at least 1 person. Follow my Twitter & I’ll share results in a couple weeks. #buildinpublic
10/ I’ll end that 4 email sequence with a more direct CTA in the final email…telling subscribers to create a free podcast fan page at podinbox.com. This will hopefully get potential users more familiar with PodInbox, without the hard sell. #buildinpublic
9/ For the email sequence, I decided to drip out 1 guide every 48 hours. Reason is I wanted people to read the guides in sequence. Also, I wanted to put a subtle call-to-action in each email. Repetition is key for CTAs. Also, I just like shorter emails. #buildinpublic
8/ To trigger the emails, I used another tool called @enchargeio. This is a tool I use for building complex email sequences. Luckily @SwipePagesApp integrates with Encharge, so getting leads from my landing page into my Encharge email sequence was a breeze. #buildinpublic
7/ I wanted to use an email capture on my landing page to distribute the 3 free guides. To deter people inputting fake emails, I decided to email the actual guides, so that legitimate emails are required. What do you think? Is this a best practice for funnels? #buildinpublic
6/ BTW, I’d consider myself myself a WordPress expert, and I was pleasantly surprised @SwipePagesApp was the better tool for this. Nice to have a new tool for these types of use cases. #buildinpublic
4/ I’ve never put together an ebook before. Shoutout to @tannerhelps for pointing me to @ReedsyHQ. Amazing tool to easily write & generate a PDF ebook, for FREE too. I spent 20 minutes learning the tool & 4 hours total putting all 3 books together. #buildinpublic
3/ The 3 ebooks I created are, “Pocket Guide to Fan Shoutouts”, “Pocket Guide to Call-to-Actions”, and “Pocket Guide to Fan Monetization”. I spent about 10 hours total rewriting those blog posts into these 3 short ebooks. #buildinpublic
2/ First, I had to finish writing my 3 ebooks. I already had 3 long blog posts about fan engagement, so I decided to repurpose those into what I call “Pocket Guides”. #buildinpublic
Last week @DanRMorris asked me to participate in their annual podcasterskit.com deal, but with a 2-day deadline. I said “sure” thinking I’d repurpose existing content to add to their bundle. Here’s what I did in those next 24hrs to create 3 ebooks & a funnel. #buildinpublic
Super excited about our new WordPress plugin! Would appreciate it if you can take 5 minutes to check it out and leave a 5 star review! #WordPress#indiehacker#buildinpublic
