Details are the arch enemy of getting to a version 1!

Things that @PostKiteApp v1 will NOT have...

❌ Media uploads
❌ Real-time
❌ 100% uptime

What WILL be in there...

✅ Ridiculously simple announcements for your site

Following on from the landing page, here's the UI for PostKite, a tiny SaaS I'm building for feature announcements.

It's a crowded market (Intercom, Beamer), but one way to compete is to focus on just one job to be done. For PostKite, it's feature announcements.

Friends don't let friends follow unvalidated ideas.

As promised, here are the designs for my new SaaS PostKite. What do you think? Is the messaging clear? If you build stuff, would you use something like this?

Yesterday I settled on the strapline for a new product. Today I'll be finalising the designs. It's killing me not to spend more time on the details, but I want to get this out in no more than a month, so keeping things painfully simple. Will share designs soon.

What are the most important aspects of building a product in public?

Indiehackers!

What is the current roadmap for your product, and what makes you have faith that that's the road you should be taking?

@tawsum @AdamJRochette Not at the moment. Currently I'm tweeting progress under my personal account (under #buildinpublic) 👍
#buildinpublic update 🛠️🚨

Almost finished implementing an API for isoflow.io. Soon you'll be able to draw network diagrams with just code and isoflow.io will handle the layout.

Rolling out in beta for now, would love feedback. DM if interested. 👍
It's the #buildinpublic weekend progress update 🚨🚨

- 🛠️ Currently working on: Automatically generating diagrams from code for isoflow.io
- 🏃 How it's going: Automatic layout seems to be working nicely (see below)
- 🏁 How far left: Build and release as an API
Might not look like much, but this brings isoflow.io a big step closer to being able to create diagrams out of just code.

Taking a bunch of nodes without any positioning info, and spreading them out on a grid in a way that makes sense. ✅

@colinplamondon Working on your request to add API access for isoflow.io

The trick is in finding an algorithm that lays out nodes in a visually pleasing way, made some progress towards that today! Will keep you posted.

@markmankarious Isoflow is AMAZING.

Is there an API I could use, to programmatically update and create these guys? I want to use Isoflow for metrics and funnel reporting / visualization.
I'll be building isoflow.io in public from today. 😁💪

I've gained so much from listening to all the journeys in the #buildinpublic and #indiehackers community, so feels good to be sharing mine as I go.

Here's a quick rundown of where isoflow.io is 👉
