Tomorrow I'm going to get in touch with some merchants who expressed interest in being part of the beta, if you're a merchant and are interested too, DM me!
However, I do believe in what I am building and I am still really excited about it so I will continue to #buildinpublic and share the progress of my Shopify App Development journey. Stay tuned tor updates on my app βFlash Promosβ! @ShopifyDevs@Shopify
Built a lot of the data logic, parsing, mapping, and all the actions from and to the database. I am behind schedule though, hopefully, if I can quickly test all the APIs I might still make it for the challengeπͺ
End of week 5 of my @Shopify#appchallenge#buildinpublic. Most of the UI is done except for a couple of small things, which I will ultimate in the next few days. The focus for next week is APIs, getting the real data, basically the "core" of the app.π
Quite happy about this week, managed to finish the designs and prototypes, set up database tables, and all the connections for active shops and custom sessions.
Last week I spent more than I expected testing the Bulk API, so I started my wireframe late. I aim to finish this by mid-week and jump into connecting the DB and writing all the queries and mutations.
Defining features thoroughly with a detailed description and a rough estimate to complete them helps me prioritizing and reducing dev time, not to mention that writing code with detailed instruction is far more enjoyable π
Week 4: I have so far set up the project for development and production, tested all the APIs, defined all the features, divided them into v1 and v2 to focus on the MVP for BFCM.
By now you have finalized your idea, and investigated the tools available, this week its time to get building! Share with us with us how you are dividing and conquering all the features that need to be built!
Slightly behind schedule, I couldn't finish the design this week as I was a bit stuck with the bulk ops API and I wanted to test all the APIs right away.
Anyway, I got it done and managed to start designing and prototyping the first page.
