Overall I'm very excited about the hopefully much better new user experience and if it might increase the install to trial ratio. If I manage to reduce churn aswell with some requested features and sanding some rough edges, this'll be a great update for BarTab!

So hard to get valueable feedback (or any feedback at all) from actual or potential customers. I have an easy to reach in app form and reach out to all cancelled trials and subscribers. Still I’ve had very few interactions with users, especially cancelled ones.

Hard to scope a really big update. I want it to really feel like a 2.0, but I also want to release it before the year is over 😅

I think the obvious answer here is just build super fast so I don’t have to make any tough decisions. 🧠💪

Something’s off with my product page A/B test 🤔

Results so far (42 days in) are as the image shows. I’m a little surprised but it’s barely 500 page views total so not statistically significant to say the least. A noticeable difference nonetheless.

Been getting more user feedback lately, and more conversations with my customers.

Really gives valuable feedback for how the product is used. (hint: it’s not always how you think 😅)

Plus, implementing features that were requested by actual users is awesome 😊

Another piece with automatic redirection. Is this a bad idea to navigate for the user or do you think it's ok?

Pretty happy with the new onboarding experience for BarTab! Moved to using Anchors and anchorPreferences so now it works perfectly regardless of orientation and screen size! 😁

I guess I should add an 'I already know' button to disable the onboarding somewhere 🤔

Realised the UI for empty menus and customer lists in BarTab might not be clear. So I've added some onboarding! Hope this makes it easier for new users to get going.

What’s your stance on asking about a customer’s satisfaction before prompting for an App Store rating/review? (ie. asking if they like the app, then only asking for rating/review if they say yes, otherwise show a feedback form)

Had a great month for BarTab in November.🥳

So far December has been *crickets*.🥱

I was really hyped after growing my customer base by 100% and hoping for some nice results in my A/B testing, but with traffic so slow the results so far aren't credible enough.

Trying to capitalize on BarTab’s recent growth spurt and investing to hopefully help it grow even more.

How do you invest in yourself and/or your business?

So far I’ve invested in:
Another milestone hit for BarTab!

MRR has doubled(!) since November 1st, and this is before any ASO improvements. I like where this is heading.

Still bewildered by this pattern in the impressions for BarTab… 🤔 this goes all the way back to June.

At least now that I’m aware I know when to expect increased traffic! T-minus 3~ days ’til next boost, then maybe some meaningful A/B test results after that?

#buildinpublic
A/B test submitted to App Review! I'm no designer but I'm quite pleased with the result and think it's a clear improvement. Let's hope it translates to a better conversion rate!

Just noticed BarTab hit a pretty cool milestone 🤩

Wild goal for next year: I want to 10x this ARR before the end of 2023 by increasing organic traffic (ASO, SEO) and continuously improving the app.

Am I crazy?

Apparently my App Store page’s primary language has been set to Swedish since launch (first version was Swedish only). 🫣

Info was in English anyway, but the localized English version had no key words at all 🤪 I wonder if impressions will increase after fixing?

Really excited to try out my new App Store screenshots. I think they’ll give a more professional impression and inspire enough trust to get more downloads. 🤞

Do you ever A/B test your App Store product page? If yes, how often?

#buildinpublic
Took notes from the feedback I got and made some changes!

- Lighter background for better contrast
- Lower case text for a softer feel
- Updated device bezels
- Bigger screens to show content
- Serious mock data
- More interesting main screenshot

Trying to make my App Store screenshots a little more enticing. Need that conversion rate to go 🚀! Hit me with your very honest critiques please, no pulling punches!

Considering the pros and cons of rebuilding my landing page and the few complimentary web services with @nextjs, hosted on @vercel. I’d also move the @Firebase layer (database and authentication) to the server and access them through an API. (1/3)
