Super Stoked.....🀩🀩.

Loving the feedback from everyone.

Thanks a lot....πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ

One more thing, bots have a lower installation friction compared to apps.

This makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE with adoption...πŸ‘†πŸΎ

It's way easier to ask people to "try out this bot" than "download another app".

Especially in the early stages.

The early stages of building a company is about testing a bunch of hypothesis.

A bot allows us to test those hypothesis quicker, and (hopefully) make less mistakes when building your app.

P.S It's also cheaper to build a bot when compared to an app....✌🏾

Dear entrepreneurs,

For your initial idea, forget an app, build a bot instead.

You will learn 100X more from users using ur bot than from users using ur app because you have a faster feedback loop.

How It started -> How It's going.

How to start a side project in 30 days.
Day 1:
Get a twitter handle @kobofxapp
The second is Response times.

This means when a user texts 'rates' how long does it take to get a response.

This number is currently about 900 milliseconds (ms), down about 500ms from last week..πŸ’ͺ🏾

TBH there's still room for a LOT of improvement.

For some context, when I worked in the valley, the goal was 300ms, and these were huge databases (DB) with billions of records.

For a small DB, 900ms still has a lot of room for improvement.

The goal is progress not perfection though, so we keep moving....🀩🀩

Two things I track religiously with #kobofxapp.

- The number of bugs in production
- Response times for users.

Released an update on Sunday, and the number of bugs have gone down significantly....😍😍.

P.S there is no perfect software.

This weeks wins..πŸ’ͺ🏾

As a solopreneur you spend a LOT of time by urself.

You build something, and you wonder if folks find it useful at all.

I sent out my first survey to folks using #kobofxapp and here are the results so far.

I think the people have spoken...🀩🀩🀩

In the last few weeks I have spent $0 in marketing #kobofxapp and yet users keep signing up.

There are only two possible explanations.

- My meme game is πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ on social media..🀣🀣

- Users ❀️ it so much they are referring their friends.

Either way it's fun

Got my first angel investor in @KoboFxApp.

No questions about business plan, slide deck or anything else.

Dude was like, I've seen you #buildinpublic, I understand the journey, and I love the excitement, let me know when ur ready.

Hella excited.....😍😍

How to get a logo when u r bootstrapping.

Yesterday I hacked together the first version of #kobofxapp for @telegram.

The fun part is that the bot was developed in one sitting.

I signed up for telegram around noon, bot was released at 11:30pm.

The bot is now available at

@future @jayodeji_ @getredash @evidence_dev @MLJARofficial Fun fact, After trying out all the tools above, I ended up just using a custom dashboard built using my current implementation.

Also realized that my SQL skills are really rusty.

If you have a bigger team, you'll probably find one of the tools above useful.

@future @jayodeji_ @getredash I started by using @evidence_dev . It's alpha software but it's actually pretty dope if you know JavaScript and SQL.

You gotta deal with restarting the server every time, but it's pretty cool.

Here's a link if you want to try it...⬇️

@future Once you decide on your KPIs, how do you track them?

@jayodeji_ Recommended @getredash he swears by it.

There's a bug in my local docker on my mac that prevented me from trying it out, and I'm currently too cheap to spin up an instance just to track metrics.

Honestly, I think the whole metrics section of @future is worth bookmarking.

These metrics are useful regardless if you are bootstrapped or venture funded. Highly recommended.
