I want to share what I've been working on. This tweet is marketing, self-promotion, and #buildinpublic, rolled up into one.

Digits is a texting service to let folks have two-way conversations without owning a phone.

Other features right now: shared inboxes, multiple numbers.
I'm going to try to #BuildInPublic here. This is a project I've been working on the last couple nights.

I missed out on the weekend to use @copy_ai to get all the copy written, choosing to focus on rolling out an MVP as soon as possible.

Do we like the pink?
#buildinpublic Iโ€™m kind of stuck on the next step here. I have some ideas for a community hangout tool I can turn this into, but I think overall Iโ€™m stuck on โ€œwait is this still a joke or notโ€. Coin toss and...Iโ€™m going to explore this idea a bit more.
#buildinpublic Downloaded the Amazon Chime SDK and spun up a demo app with a chat window and video.
#buildinpublic oh no, people are signing up to be notified
@unsplash @whereslugo #buildinpublic Signed up for @airtable, created a base, created some columns in the table, got the API key, hooked up the @Carrd form to save form values to that table.

Save. Publish.

We have a fully functional joke!
#buildinpublic I selected a "Form" template, changed the background image to a photo on @unsplash by @whereslugo, and changed all the text to what you see now.
#buildinpublic Went to @carrd and created a new blank site and published it to a custom domain immediately. This ensures that the security cert generation process starts on Carrd's end. It takes about an hour.

Note: custom domain urls come with the paid Pro Standard plan.
#buildinpublic Bought the domain on GoDaddy with a $5 off coupon. Immediately pointed it at @carrd
Candidate for #BuildInPublic this weekend-

Currently parents can start the process to enroll their kids at a school in @everyoak anonymously. Changing it so that parents have to create an account first. This hugely simplifies the admission workflow and saves hours for schools!
Dosa number 1 is awful. The batter is too thick (idli consistency) and the pan too hot. Tastes good! But Iโ€™m so glad my mom isnโ€™t here, just thousands of internet strangers instead. #buildinpublic
