It wasn't the right business decision to pay the bonuses that we did this year. Q3 hurt margins.

But, people are our business.

So, I made it the right move.

And the responses I got today 100% validated it.

For One Day Design, we're testing partnerships with startup studios and some other DTC services.

Partnerships usually take longer than I have the patience for but it's worth planting the seeds.

Ask me in 6 months if it pays off.

I just talk a lead out of spending $10k/mo on Growthhit so they could spend $1299 on One Day Design.

Am I the worst sales person ever?

To my credit, it was 100% the right move for this company . . . i think?

Silver-lining, they closed w/in 2 minutes.

For One Day Design, we're doing cold email w/ @mailshakeapp to people hiring designers. We're seeing if they will use our service instead of a new hire.

Here are the results:

Open rate: 65%
Response Rate: 5%

No clients yet but we'll see.

We worked on our 2023 revenue goals for GrowthHit. We would have hit our 2022 goals but Q3 set us back. Ugh. But, I still like our growth.

Up next, working on the path to get One Day Design to $1M by EOY 2023. More to come.

This is 1 of 10 ads we're testing.

The Goal of This Ad: Show why we're different from the million other agencies out there by highlighting out process.

One Day Design: Closed 1 new client. We're looking to test a flat funnel of just 1 offering. Going to see if we can ride that to $1M.

GrowthHit: We're about to put up a waitlist because we are hitting capacity. And I don't want to burn people out.

One Day Design: We just crossed $75,000 in sales. Google ads + work of mouth = working

Handsome Chaos: Writing a check to our new manufacturer this Friday. It's getting real!

One Day Design: We cannot sell our premium package without getting on Zoom. So, we're removing the buy button and putting in a "Book a Call" button.

We lost a potential customer over the weekend bc they just "wanted to talk" with us and couldn't.

ugh.
