I am finally working on my personal website/blog using a Next.js + Tailwind CSS template called, Philfolio, as a starting point. It is developed by @Volagn, a fellow #indiehacker and #buildinpublic contributor.
I plan on fully customizing it to my needs & give it uniqueness.
Last night I was trying to get @storyblok to work with my @astrodotbuild instance. I was too tired to finish so I tackled it this early morning and it was blowing up with errors. Come to find out I was missing some variables from the Astro docs π
Just applied to @storyblok's Creator Fund program. God-willing this will help Unemployed Chronicles with scalability, production quality, and development of a sequel series.
@warpdotdev Warp AI is clutch! I did not remember how to resolve the tailwind plugin error so I asked how can I resolve this error. The answer it gave me was spot on to what I have done in the past and finally a π‘ turned on π
Unemployed Chronicles Pt. 10: Got the basics of the TutorialFlare landing page done. All that is left is to design a quick logo, finalize the copy, connect the form to a service, and replace the image with a video player w/ a personal message.
Unemployed Chronicles Pt. 9: I am currently in the process of building a marketing landing page with @astrodotbuild for a video creator hiring platform I started to build in public again.
@nextjs@vercel peers, is there something I am missing? The error (left) is requiring that I have "next" in dependencies or in devDependencies but I already do based on my commit (right). So I am puzzled π€π§
Marketing + Developer Question: Do you guys create a new repo/project for the landing page of your product or do you use the same repo and only build/deploy the landing page itself? My goal with this is to provide a waistlist sign up.
I am also thinking of putting a landing page together with a waitlist form. I believe it is time to take this indie hacker and build in public journey seriously.
I am currently working on setting up a mailing list π¨, so you can be notified when the FREE course comes out. For the moment being, be sure to FOLLOW @elevateyourvid and keep up-to-date w/ the #buildinpublic progress of this video coaching course + community.
And this is why I mentioned in a tweet why I would choose @taishik_ as a Co-Founder and CTO of a future startup. When he has a vision for a product he truly lives it to the fullest and goes on full-build mode. Never afraid to try things and see how far they go. #buildinpublictwitter.com/usekuiq/statusβ¦
I am not one to follow drama especially when it happens within the #buildinpublic community but I respect @damengchen's integrity, transparency, and honesty. I believe everyone has a piece of a pie that empowers them but don't let empowerment get to your head. Thankful for Damon!
Alright, I just learned one thing on my own today while trying to figure out how to associate an anchor link to a React component in Nextjs. You can add the id attribute to the main div inside the component and then click on the menu item. Voila! #learninginpublic#buildinpublic
