So cool to see all the new people who #buildinpublic

Over 250+ people used the hashtag in the last 24 hours 🤯
I'm importing historical tweets into buildinpublic.com right now.

They are all showing up in real-time on the homepage. Bit of a bug, but looks pretty cool. Have a look :)

@adrien @buildinpublic 100%

The daily streaks at WIP are a two-sided swords. It motivates people to do something (small) everyday. Cultivating a habit of shipping early and often.

But it's also important to breaks.

Weekly/monthly streaks might be a better fit for #buildinpublic
@kwcodes Ah yes. Great idea. Probably not something for the v1 launch, but once I add filters.

Right now it does not discriminate based on follower count or anything like that anyway. Sidebars shows all people with at least one #buildinpublic tweet in last 3 hours.
@staceypacer I’m building a tool to collect your #buildinpublic updates in one place. Have a look and let me know what you think

buildinpublic.com/@staceypacer
@cj_not_jc Yeah I actually made that already: wip.co

But #buildinpublic is interesting too, because it's more decentralised.
@cj_not_jc Will find out over time. Some obvious ideas are to add user profiles (and see just their #buildinpublic tweets) and some way to group tweets around projects.
Links are now clickable and it displays high-res images now as well. #buildinpublic

@jpaask @fajarsiddiqFS Yes, I get everything from the API. Using this Ruby gem:
github.com/sferik/twitter

Streaming is part of the Twitter API too.

I use Hotwire.dev (specifically Turbo Streams) to update the page in real-time.

@xq2r7 @buildwithnext Yeah just tag your tweets with #buildinpublic and it should automatically get picked up
Built a new little prototype today:
buildinpublic.com

Real-time tweets of people building in public. Use #buildinpublic to get included.
