@AlternovaInc Ultimately, by becoming strong at recruiting with Expandea, we will be stronger recruiters at Alternova. And it provides recurrent revenue, which is great for our cashflow and the value of our company.
There comes a time when you have a mildly successful business that you start thinking about growing into different businesses. Usually completely unrelated to the original one.
Giving negative performance #feedback to an employee, and generating a positive behavior afterwards is something I have had to learn over the years. Here's a #thread of the 5 things I have learned to do to achieve this:

We're all humans with our own stories. If someone is not performing at 100% they deserve a chance to explain why. As a boss you almost always CAN HELP.
In 2020 we closed one business unit and made changes that impacted 10 people. This was 30% of our workforce, and some of them had been with us since the beginning of our company.

I've always thought that it is more important to do than to talk. We're now doing so many cool things that I am starting to think that in order for us to continue growing it will be equally important to talk than to do.
The value of marginal gains is underrated. Focusing on making better each part of my business has worked better than big transformations or investments. Learning from each tweak is key to figure out what the next one should be.
Social media is great for building communities and making friends, but businesswise, it's ephemeral nature doesn't allow it to be a reliable long term acquisition channel.
