The (hopefully) proper controller card has arrived for the #DIY #NAS. This one put me back around CAD$75 but it came with the 6 GB SATA cables and should be able to handle all six of the hard drives.

My "cost-effective" SATA controller for my #DIY #NAS arrived today. Went to the website I purchased it from to check some information only to discover that it is only for Windows.

Glad they accept returns no questions asked!

@jEvisHome I'm going to be building a @TrueNAS server. It is the evolution of #FreeNAS and I've always wanted to play with #ZFS.

This is the beginning of the new #NAS that I'm building. By the time I'm done, this will store 20 TB of files!

It was originally a workstation I built in 2008. I made a few upgrades over the years such as more RAM & SSD.

Great NAS start point!

Built an integration between a PIM system and PixlSpace.com today. For integrations I love to use #Python so here is a #code snippet for finding an element in a list that I think is awesome!

@homelabers I'm starting to work on building my own home NAS and this was really good information to point me in the right direction for my own build.

Here's the link to @briancmoses's blog post about the build: blog.briancmoses.com/2021/11/diy-na…

7. Save Data in Cloud Storage

You can save the data in file form in cloud storage providers such as @Box, @Dropbox, @googledrive, @onedrive which all have nodes in @n8n_io!
