Major overhauls to the caching web socket server for this project. When I prototyped this, I used a lot of literals. Now optimizing all of that. Also fitting in Promise.all where needed to parallelize the fetchStore process.
Back to my project of learning, teaching, and those cool things.
Today I will convert all visuals to be processed server-side so the client only has to plug in the prepared arrays. And add the auto update to all visuals.
And now auto-update is working, it didn't take long. Also has an array of common colors, so updates don't make a discorama of colors. Check it out here:
Just pulled down the latest changes. Remember, this is a work in progress, so some things break while other things start working. It's all part of the fun.
I decided to make this live on the web. Though the app itself runs with NodeJS, express, and websockets I set up an Nginx reverse proxy to handle https. The data is live, and the site will update as I push updates to Git Hub.
I launched my first app @BarBot_AI 3 months ago, followed a month later by Froggy Feed!, then a few weeks ago, Recipease. None of them have taken off, but Iβm so pleased with everything Iβve been learning. Still, sooooo much more to learn!!
Experienced in #activitypub? I started setting up an #opensource project to #learn and #buildinpublic. First idea is to build something that helps with #ownyourcontent. Interested or know someone who could be? Please share or ask them to connect with me. Thanks for any help! π€
@taimur_coding Hi Taimur. Nice to meet you here. Just following you. I love to #buildinpublic and #learn in public. I wish you much fun and success with your work. Have a nice day. π
Currently rebranding myself to teach mentor, and learn from people inside and outside of tech, as well as connect with other people and learn about business and tech around me. Pumped for this new journey #tech#buildinpublic#codinglife#teach#learn#dev
As I write and #buildinpublic about my first internship, I often wonder what others did for theirs. For all the builders, founders and everyone out there; what was your first internship? And what did you learn from it? #intern#shareyourstory#journey#buildinginpublic#learn
We have come so far in our journey and yet super excited about how far we can go with this. The kind of amazing user feedback we have been getting from known and unknown corners is super satisfying.
β Had a blast listening to @MeetKevon workshop youtube.com/watch?v=rrRjqTβ¦ βοΈπ‘Inspired to create a "GRATEFUL for" list where I want to mention all people who helped me along the journey
