@Iam_LauraD Yeah, but they're very different from #indiehacking#buildinpublic canon. I prefer quiet, soft launches. As soon as I fix this deploy, it goes to 5 friends. Then 10 beta testers. Then official announcement on website. 🤷
Feeling torn about the "ship fast" culture in #IndieHacking and #buildinpublic 🫠Guilty for not keeping up, but I do enjoy the process and love my craft.
Anybody else relate? Know any "build slow" success stories?
In the next release version of vibe-genie.app, a color picker is added to modify the color palette and photos can be categorized accordingly with the change 😃✨
I don't believe the people who write they ship in a week. I would never pay for a product that is ready in just one week, because then I would program it myself.
Finding the balance between a day job and indie hacking can be tough, but the #buildinpublic community is always here to support each other. Remember to take breaks, recharge, and come back stronger. It's a marathon, not a sprint. 💪🏼 #indiehacking#Productivity
Is #indiehacking and building a small tech business viable for everyone? I feel like some people are falling for its appeal and not realizing there are more important things in their life they have to take care of first.
What are your social media logins that you use? I use Apple, Google and Facebook. I have a large portion covered with these. Nearly 60% use the social login function
discipline is not just required for “when to start working”, but also about “when to stop working” — the right timing to start and to end is how sustainability is achieved
I need an extension for Microsoft Teams calls, which warns me when someone tells my name and summarizes the question & comment on the screen as text. 👔 #indiehacking#buildinpublic
How do you manage several projects at the same time? I always focus on one project for a certain time, then I wait to see if the new features/functions in the project are successful. In the meantime I have time for other projects.
I write comments when I code! However, only if I have debugged over the same place three times before and do not understand it again and again 👨💻👨💻👨💻
The end user doesn't see the framework used, so it doesn't really matter if you use React, Angular, Flutter or whatever!
But I need the kick every now and then to have learned a new framework, so I also like to take the time and learn something new #buildinpublic#indiehacking
This is mylinx. My latest startup and a new AI powered link-in-bio tool that aims to help you in your journey of growth as a content creator, designer, engineer, etc. I would love to hear your opinions!! #buildinpublic#indiehacking#startup#code
If it has to go fast with product validation I try to post directly in online communities where relevant customers are present, then you get directly the right traffic, at least until you are blocked.
Because if you're #indiehacking or #buildinpublic and you're not building an MVP in a week like all those young 'uns whippersnappers, I think you shouldn't feel bad at all.
How i do pricing: Since I mostly develop projects that I use myself, I estimate it according to my own feelings. And then I add 50%. Not the best strategy 💲You?
So if you don't know how to build something initially, don't worry, it happens to most SW engineers, even older ones. What distinguishes the good engineers from the bad ones is that the good ones learn, and fast.
Most of the time you invest 1-2 months of work in an MVP, which you can save if you see that nobody is interested in the landing page. So validate first with a simple landing page and try to get some waiting list signups✉️ #buildinpublic#indiehacking#indiehackers
You know what doesn't work? Trying random fixes and praying to the gods it works by magic. Don't do that, ever! Step by step instead. Find the cause first, then fix. Don't do things up-side down.
To avoid overwhelming my audience, I schedule 50% of my posts. I generate around 10 tweet ideas daily, but scheduling them for later allows me to take a break for 1-2 days when I'm occupied with coding or other tasks. ⌚⌚⌚
Some private things: I am blessed because I lay down in bed and fall asleep relatively quickly 🛏️. But I have to force myself not to think about anything to make it work. You?
Good afternoon, I'm curious how people approach solving their coding problems that have not relented to much googling stackoverflow and much tweaking of their code. My head is getting so be good friends with my wall at this point. #buildinpublic#indiehacking
I just updated the audio player on Kids Kraft, The GPT-based audiobook stories for kids, Tell me what you think. Here's the before and after kidskraft.app #buildinpublic#indiehacking
Do you also have fun projects? I built a credit calculator a few months ago (German: kredit-app.net) - absolutely no ulterior motives to earn something with it someday. Fun projects must also be allowed!
If you’re in the #indiehacking and #buildinpublic world and looking to level up your design game, or just speed it up - you NEED this. Grab it ASAP, mmkay?! 👇
I've stopped setting up social media channels when the target audience doesn't interact on the platform at all. Too much work for nothing. How about you guys.
Getting amazing results with the new UI for Art Creation with a little input as just 1 Word. "Create" Looking forward to finishing with the updates soon 🤩
Hey everyone! I'm just starting my journey to indie hacking and developing my own projects, so I'm going to blog about my journey here #indiehacking#buildinpublic
Today I'm working on improving the quality of Image generation on Fontis.ai with little user input. So far, I'm getting excellent results; I'll post the details on how later 🤓 #buildinpublic#indiehacking
I have been using @asana for a long time. I love the simple UI and that it's available on multiple devices. If I think of something quick on the go I can add it to my todo List right away.
