#goodmorning Looking to 3d print the 1st iteration prototype of the tumbler body soon. What printing process and material should I use to test the overall functionality of the design? Mfg. material of choice is stainless steel. #buildinpublic#3dprinting
Today, we start building in public with @webprintsapp on v1 of their #designsystem and #3Dprinting community and marketplace. Follow as we share posts + videos giving a behind-the-scenes look at how we design digital products and design systems from scratch. 🚀
We are so excited to embark on a journey with the @forgestudiosf Team in designing the product and brand experiences for what we build together and for the Webprints community.
And after that, I'll just scale up all the things that worked well and find time and opportunity to test new hypotheses of improving my product (see other Tweets for context)! Hope you have a wonderful weekend guys :) #buildinpublic#startup#SaaS#3dprinting
First use stats of 3dcityprint.com 🧮😀 I published the site on two small FB groups (both around 1k members). In total : * 51 comments * 50 likes * 2162 site visits * 1031 3d print files generated * 47 e-mail addresses collected #buildinpublic#3Dprinting#3dprint
And one last type of block that is needed for my estate/mansion build. Took about 5-10 minutes to put together based on my existing code. "No code" FTW! 😆 #3dprinting#buildinpublic#openscad
I'm working on a ramp/roof for my building blocks in OpenSCAD. Once you have a slanted ramp, the corners are easily accomplished by union and intersection of that ramp with itself at a 90 degree angle. Easy as pie! ;-) #3Dprinting@openscad#buildinpublic
Plug one of my motors into my 8 port router, write 2 lines of code & it moves all within 1 minute. Some motors are strong enough to lift 40 lbs & as easy to use as plugging a USB device into a laptop. Easy rapid prototyping w/ 3d printing #3dprinting#robotics#BuildInPublic
I've also planned a series of posts for the blog, and will be adding a few this week to the blog. This week was spent setting up the blog, configuring analytics and SEO basics (as best as I know, which is not much), and some planning.
My aim for #EveryDayInMay is to construct a firm mechanical engineering foundation on which ANYONE can learn #3Dprinting, starting from first principles.
