Pricing 🤔

How do you think about pricing for products that have a variable cost structure (like API calls) in a market that's accustomed to paying a fixed price (like subscriptions)?

What are the variables and user profiles you think of?

Pricing - the dark arts of products 😈

Almost done w/ free tier of my tokenomics educational content. Starting to think about monetizing.

It's important to me to offer a free core, but need to pay the bills!

Let's build a pricing plan in public & see how it goes

Some good accounts I’m enjoying these days:

@mayazi: smart commentary wide range of topics
@noahwbragg: great #buildinpublic journey for a SaaS product
@trent_vanepps: awesome summary threads of ETH dev calls (and leading them)
Today I'm diving into #Solidity again.

Want to try my hand at building a few things:
- variable fee AMM
- modified ERC-20s

But it's been a while since I've deployed anything...so back to basics 😅

Let's see how the day goes! #buildinpublic
Less threads, more engaging with builders, more #buildinpublic on @AlpeAudio and Designingtokenomics.com

It's been a fun twitter month.
2 months ago I decided to focus more on marketing for @AlpeAudio.

I put a plan into place and started to execute.

It's now two months later and time evaluate how it's gone, lessons learned and change what needs changing.

The chart of growing annual recurring revenue for @AlpeAudio is one of the best charts I've got.

It's a long, hard growth path for a B2C consumer app but zooming out on the long term trend helps keep me motivated!

Why #buildinpublic?

Because:
1. It will help keep me accountable.
2. You can't succeed alone - everyone needs a tribe.
#buildinpublic fam: I’m about to launch my first Google AdWords campaign. ⚡️

Before I push the button, any must know mastery tips? 😬

(I’ve watched some basic tutorials and goal here is to measure reception for a product + price point)
6 weeks ago I set out on a new marketing playbook built around repurposing our content @AlpeAudio

Idea was to:
• Automate content
• Repurpose
• Share more content

So how's it gone? #buildinpublic
Over the past 2 years @AlpeAudio we've put together a great library of content:

‣ Audio lessons
‣ Summaries & notes
‣ Blogs on learning

But naturally, I haven't done a good enough job marketing 😅

That's what I'm going to focus on during the rest of June, here's the plan:
@MeetKevon Those are 6 challenges I've encountered over the past year building in public.

1. Loneliness
2. Imposter syndrome
3. Motivation
4. Measuring success
5. Glory mindset
6. Copy cats

Keep these aspects in mind when you #buildinpublic. Never be afraid to reach out for support.

These learnings are straight from an audio course by @meetkevon on @AlpeAudio.

Why build in public?

It's not easy sharing in public, being consistent and putting the #buildinpublic playbook into action well.

So why do it?

Five reasons.

Yesterday I asked #buildinpublic folks to recommend mailchimp competitors.

Today I'm trying them all out and will let you know who wins 😀
The #buildinpublic community is amazing.

I got more concrete answers that I trust from this community than 60 minutes searching Google and comparing!

Thanks ❤️💫
#buildinpublic fam - what tool do you use to send monthly updates to your users?

@Mailchimp costs $285 a month 🤯
@HubSpot is waaay higher
@ConvertKit similar pricing
@Sendgrid might be best value but needs API integration

Any others?
