In this episode I talk about the past 3 months working full time on my own projects, and how it affected the way I do things, now that I'm back working 9-5.
I deep dive a little bit more on the things I learned during the past months... and preparing myself to be back to a full time job while keeping my (now-to-be) side projects
Recording a video to showcase a new feature to the beta users. Of course bugs appeared - I'm being transparent and keeping them in the video. Also used them to show how I use Jotternaut to log bugs (my use case)
Thoughts about going back to a full-time job while keep working on @jotternaut, lessons from working full time, and why I think we should put our "dev-hat" aside sometimes
Update Friday is on air. I mostly talked about the first week of @jotternaut with beta users. A quiet week so far, but full of thoughts for the next weeks.
Keeping users engaged during this stage will be a big challenge!
Posted on @IndieHackers , but sharing here in case anyone here have any advice? š¤ Early beta-users communication channels: Reach out individually vs create a closed group with them and allow cross communication? #buildinpublic#indiehackers
Another @jotternaut teaser. It still a lot to polish, but that is a demonstration of the different viewing styles for your Jots/Notes #buildinpublic#Productivity
One of @jotternaut features is almost completed. Last couple of weeks I had to restructure the data to allow a more nuanced control of the labels you add to a Jot, enabling it to work as a mix of a Note taking app / To-do app, while keeping things simple #buildinpublic
- Finishing @Jotternaut payment modules - Talking about fear of first launch engagement rates - Cool things I learned about @stripe / @laravelphp Cashier that saved me some time
Researching about ToS & Privacy Policies for SaaS companies. Boring but necessary. Maybe a bit scary? Anybody here has good resources or want to share how did you navigate this? A lot of companies seem to just copy/read/replace where necessary from others š¤ #SaaS#buildinpublic
It is still Thursday, right? š New episode on air - talking about past week events, deciding on postpone a feature, early thoughts on pricing models and a better way to plan my week .
Today marks as my last day working formally to a company. Nothing wrong about that - but I needed / wanted to fully focus on my projects for a couple of months. I won't lie that this whole #buildinpublic thing , and the months to come scares me a bit. š
