Having a roadmap prioritized by the community is so much better than making it up!

What do you think?

Day 12/30

I’ve been silent for the last 3 days…

…because I suddenly felt in love 🥰 🤪

These things find their way in your life when you least expect them 😊

Hopefully I can still make #BuildInPublic with my head above the clouds ✨
@TeamJohnH This is when my #BuildInPublic journey gets real:

I just set a goal to build and release a product in 30 days Exploding head

The target metric is 50 sign-ups.

The penalty for failing to do it is $5,000.

It's real. Today is Day 8.

Am I insane?

Day 5/30

Still at 3/50 sign ups.

No progress again 🤷‍♂️ Had the full weekend off.

This week I plan to launch a public waitlist while keep working on the feature.

Will be actively posting my journey on Twitter ✌️ #BuildInPublic
I’m building frontend for GigRadar using Ant Design Pro.

It’s a Chinese framework built on top of @reactjs + UmiJS + dva.

The later are dev community tools, so most of the docs are still in Chinese 😅🙈

Would you like to know my experience with it?

Day 4/30 #BuildInPublic

No progress today. Decided to have a day off.

Do you agree that resting is important even when you are at risk of loosing $5,000?
Day 3 Report #BuildInPublic

GigRadar.io involves a lot of data scraping.

Upwork doesn’t like when I scrape them.

So currently focused on avoiding / solving captchas that started to show up more often ☹️

@Upwork do you guys also follow my challenge? 😅
Day 2 Report #BuildInPublic

Some unexpected challenges today ☹️

I was about to finish one awesome bonus for the early adopters...

But suddenly my crawlers started failing altogether.

Have to do some firefighting to get the backend live again.

Sign-ups still 0/50 😐

My previous relationship was ruined by my inability to support it financially and timewise.

How can I when I have two children (my startups) that take all of my time and energy?

How a full time entrepreneur should go about building a sustainable relationship?

Key learnings from yesterday: #BuildInPublic

- @stripe has built-in invoicing software (Stripe Billing)

- @PayPal Business can be used without a backing bank account (including debit cards)

- @getsentry is a good old crashlytics tool that works for js apps
First day of private beta testing for @GigRadarHQ. So far so good 💪 I already received some valuable feedback from early adopters, and discovered some major bugs. #BuildInPublic is amazing 🤩
Big day for @GigRadarApp! 🎉

Opening the doors for the first batch of users today.

#BuildInPublic
#BuildInPublic Day #16
😢
🔹1 week delay of the beta launch for @GigRadarApp
🔹4 days of Twitter silence dealing with personal problems
🔹Almost broke up with my GF
🙂
🔸Live chat using react-use-intercom
🔸Created product tutorial
🔸State persistence w/ redux-persist
... 👇
#BuildInPublic Day #12

Was going to open the beta doors to the first set of users today, but couldn’t for personal reasons. Rescheduled for tomorrow hopefully 😔

Humans also have downtime, right?
#BuildInPublic Day #11

Tried to take it easy on Saturday.

Had an advising session with my business coach today that helped to see the full potential of @GigRadarApp.

Super excited to continue working on it 🙌
#BuildInPublic Day #10

No significant progress today. I took some time to prioritize and clean up the task board.

💡I introduced a nice multi-variable prioritization technique that takes into account urgency/impact/complexity of a task.
