@rickyio7 Agree! and also, don't forget that having non-productive days is completely normal. Make sure you make the most when you're inspired and take some rest and disconnect when things are not fluid. Oh, and remember to #buildinpublic π
Got into the bug loophole during the last couple of days:
1οΈβ£ updated a dependency to get a new feature 2οΈβ£ had to update the whole framework 3οΈβ£ framework requires code refactoring in the whole app 4οΈβ£ after refactoring, the new feature does not work as expected
I decided to create a new menu bar for @quicktalks_io to properly manage user login and navigation. Pretty happy with the result. Currently accepting login with Google, Twitter and Github which I think are enough and the most used by makers.
Started working on the talks index page for @quicktalks_io Now that I'm able to retrieve all talks from the DB and even generate custom thumbnails, I just have to tweak the design and make sure I catch a few errors with the authentication
I've progressed a lot with @quicktalks_io page to stream the interviews. I've decided to use @Cloudflare Stream because it's super easy to setup, affordable and there are @vuejs components for the video player. One step closer to launch π
I'm working on a custom analytics system for @the_life_board . I'll save the number of users, subs and general metrics from like total number of goals, habits and tasks created. It'll be super helpful to measure growth and I can even create an /open page π
Some days (and most days) it's more important to work on marketing than coding and creating new features. Today I'm spending most of the day sending messages to potential guests for @quicktalks_io and scheduling the next interviews π€
Spent some time improving the copy on @quicktalks_io landing page to focus it on the upcoming interviews. I also updated the CTA buttons so let's see if that brings more signups π
β finish @the_life_board new weekly review in mobile β deploy #thelifeboard api with changes for new weekly review β create new test environment for #thelifeboard webapp β fix open graph meta tags in my blog
Finally found some time to progress with the new week review page for @the_life_board. It will allow users to check their habits during the past week. Now, moving to goal tasks and milestones.
After a few days working on it, I've finished working on a fun project. A step-by-step exercise to help you review 2020 and set your resolutions for 2021. We'll save them and send them back to you within a year. Check it out here π
Yesterday I received my frst donation via @buymeacoffee for one of the articles in my blog π It feels great to see that people find your content useful and are willing to pay for it, even if it's just a few dollars π
Yesterday I gave my first ever tech talk about how I built my latest project MVP. Below are the main tips I'd give based on the lessons I learnt during the last few weeks.
After the feedback I received in @IndieHackers and @GetMakerlog , I spent the morning improving the copy in quicktalks.io and creating a new section to explain its benefits. I think it looks pretty good.
