An effective #buildinpublic journey involves:
1️⃣ (Sometimes) daily updates
2️⃣ Weekly and monthly retrospectives
3️⃣ Summaries of milestones and what led up to them
To accomplish that successfully, we need to keep track of what is happening.

This is one of the reasons I started journaling more often - I want to look back and see the real journey of how everything has happened. twitter.com/Maxxmakes/stat…
@ThoughtfulCopy sounds meta. πŸ˜€

Actually, #buildinpublic / #writinginpublic both involve a lot of meta.

Write about what you are writing. Then write about that.

I get dizzy thinking about it πŸ˜†
What I want to do better next week:

Honestly, anything I get done will be a bonus. It's going to be a rough week...

Here's how Elon Musk does #buildinpublic
This drone video inside Tesla’s new Gigafactory in Berlin is absolutely incredible 🀯
@freezebrain This is what I found when clicking on the hashtag #DIY.

BuildMakeShare = #buildinpublic

I wouldn't have discovered this without your help. πŸ˜€

@freezebrain Thanks, Freeze! 😊

I just now realized there's a connection between #DIY and #buildinpublic. This gives me something to think about....
@freezebrain I think the site went live in 2007. I have given it a makeover a couple times, but nothing major.

I wish I had known about #buildinpublic back then. It probably would have amounted to something.

I'm happy it has helped a few people over the years.
@victor_bigfield This is great, Victor. I'm inspired by your goals and mindset.

I'm also looking forward to seeing what you post. Personal development is my cup of tea.

This is also a great example of #buildinpublic. 😊
This is a great #buildinpublic style tweet.

Here's why this got so many likes:
β€’ Philipp replied to a question asked by an influencer with a useful answer.
β€’ His answer is authentic and vulnerable.
β€’ We can all relate to it.
@indigosblog Thank you for the encouragement. 😊

It's a term that most people aren't familiar with. It's a lot like #buildinpublic but for writing. Actually, you're already doing a lot of it yourself.
I'm going to start tweeting Weekly Reflection and Weekly Priorities as part of my #buildinpublic journey. πŸš€

The biggest obstacle I face is time, so I will use @Promptlyy to help me.
In my opinion, this is one of the most creative ways to apply #buildinpublic principles to writing.

It's #writinginpublic at its best.

I'm definitely inspired and hooked!
3 back-to-back meetings with little sleep.

I'd call this a win!

Don't write on weekends, so next graph is on Monday. 😊
Here's why this is an effective #buildinpublic thread:
Great intro sentence πŸ’ͺ
Good use of analogies πŸ”₯
Learnings sprinkled through the entire thread πŸ’¦
He shares his goal with us πŸš€
TL;DR is great to include 😊
A wise man told me to treat my Twitter profile as a landing page.

As a marketer, I ❀️ metrics, and I usually don't optimize before understanding them.

So I'm going to be open about the Twitter metrics of my first "real" committed month.

Here's the November overview!
@indigosblog It sounds like you and I have been thinking on the same wavelength.

I've learned a ton from one of the masters of #buildinpublic, @MeetKevon. His guide is a great introduction. In fact, he wrote it in public:

@indigosblog Thank you for asking. Yes, it's a very "meta" concept.

Though I didn't coin the phrase, it's unknown to most people.

Have you heard of the #buildinpublic framework? It's like that, but for writers. There's a ton of overlap, but some significant differences.
Also, I'm starting a guide to "writing in public" that I'll be #buildinginpublic.

What is "writing in public?"

It means, among other things, combining the best ideas of #ship30for30 with #buildinpublic.
It's the age-old issue of integrity vs growth in audience building.

Thank you, Kevon, for keeping the window open while you weigh this major decision!

Kevon is truly a #buildinpublic titan!
I'm studying a couple of accounts with 40k+ followers right now.

Because I want to see how I can level up myself from 9k.

But ... this is how I feel:
@arvidkahl @orangebook_ Successful people usually have others around them who remind them that the struggle is worth it.

We are super fortunate to have that in the #buildinpublic community. 😊
