Use cases include determining how much money you will need to invest today to receive a certain amount in the future and annuity calculations. Hope it helps!
It has been over a month since I launched CornyJokes app MVP on the google play store. Although I got 44 installs so far, there has been major user loss as well. Here is what I am gonna do next:
I decided to run ads on Reddit for showing Redditors the first iteration for CornyJokes. Reddit didn't show assets the way I imagined. Pretty sure that is one of the reasons behind 1700 impressions but only 21 clicks. oops!
Having already launched the Corny Jokes on play store, I learned a few lessons on the logistics of app deployments. More in the thread below: #buildinpublic#cornyjokesapp#jokesapp
Finally, Google approved my Corny jokes App. It's live now on the play store. The Admob review is still undergoing though. play.google.com/store/apps/det…
Got my Developer account approved by @Google. Thank you. I am doing a closed alpha testing right now to find the last few quirks if any before releasing my very simple Corny Jokes app :)
With #expo + #ReactNative on the frontend, I built a rails 7.x API-only app with very simple routes. I used #github actions for Continuous Integration so I don't have to hit the build command each time I push new changes to the main branch #buildinpublic#automations
I chose to build a native app this time since I have been doing backend and databases for a while. I chose @expo and react-native and was pleasantly surprised. I loved the developer's friendliness.
2. A few areas like affirmations, meditation, astrology, jokes, recipes, etc stood out. Most had competitors which is a good thing since it is also a validation for demand.
#Thread3 How much time do you spend refactoring your code?
Last night I was able to build preliminary logic for score calculations for each KPI. Today didn't have much time after FT work but couldn't let raw code just sit there.😁😁
Milestone wise, I am working on building the backend first. Tonight I made great progress on that front. I chose #RubyOnRails API only for building the backend API coz I live #ruby and it's most suited to build a an API prototype.
