Folks, I am genuinely curious and want to learn more.

What are the things you struggle with when creating a knowledge base / help center for you company? πŸ“–

#buildinpublic
I am mainly inspired by Indiehackers such as @tdinh_me, @ramykhuffash, @phuctm97, @1HaKr and @ben_issen

So let's see. Excited to try out new things πŸ˜‰

Are you in a similar situation?

SaaS is a rollercoaster 🎒

HelpKit's subscription growth has been stagnating a bit and suddenly just in the last 7h the MRR increased by $250+ which is a lot to me! πŸ’Έ

1x Professional Monthly
1x Business Monthly
1x Starter Yearly
2x Upgrades to Professional

#buildinpublic
There’s no better feeling than seeing a cold outreach attempt turn into a new subscription πŸ’Έ

It doesn’t happen often but when it does 😍

#buildinpublic
Super excited to announce that HelpKit has reached more than 150+ paying customers! πŸš€

We also cracked the 1000 followers mark here on Twitter recently πŸ₯³

@HelpkitHQ s first year anniversary is just around the corner. Thrilled to reveal some more news soon!

Being a Saas founder be like...

Definitely not the worst spot to end the day πŸŒ‡πŸ‘¨πŸ½β€πŸ’»

After releasing a major new update today, this week is marketing week at @HelpkitHQ

What are you working on this week?

#buildinpublic
Speaking of having amazing founder friends online ☺️

#buildinpublic
@IndieHackers @patio11 You can check out the new pricing page here:

I am curious to hear what you think?

Building in public felt intimidating in the beginning πŸ‘€

Also, how should I find the time to share my story while making an entire startup? πŸ€”

After launching a couple of products with no traction, I decided to give it a try and it literally changed my life πŸš€

#buildinpublic
Fellow SaaS founders πŸ‘‹

What are your total server costs per month and what does it include?

HelpKit's current costs are $50/m:

β€’ 2x Backend Node Services (prod + stag)
β€’ 2x Frontend Node Services for SSR (prod + stag)
β€’ 2x Postgres DB (prod + stag)

#buildinpublic
Is anyone here by chance familiar with @strapijs and Postgres database connections pools?

I'm dealing with this extremely annoying pool issue for the past five hours and could need a helping hand πŸ†˜ 😬

There is no bigger trust boost than users asking you to upgrade from monthly to yearly building πŸ’Έ

#buildinpublic
I am trying to put more and more effort into marketing in the next few weeks.

This week I am working on adding social proof to the landing page.

Luckily I have already received a handful of amazing customer testimonials ⭐ thanks to @testimonialto.

SaaS friends, any recommendations for multi-user support? πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘¦β€πŸ‘¦

ATM when multiple employees want to use HelpKit they would need to share the account login which is suboptimal. I can imagine it can get quite complex in terms of who pays and access management. Tips?

#buildinpublic
Today, one month ago, @HelpkitHQ hit the golden $1000 MRR mark. Today we reached $1800 MRR! πŸ₯³

β†’ It took around 5 months to reach $1000 MRR
β†’ It took 1 month to reach $1800 MRR

The power of SaaS. Working hard to get to the 2K milestone hopefully soon πŸ’ͺ

The other day at the dinner table with some friends:

Stef: "Hey Dom, super cool you are in the @IndieHackers newsletter"

Dom: "Wut πŸ‘€"

Love those moments 😊

Spending the day designing and finishing up HelpKit's blog design and layout. Blog article content is served directly from Notion, of course πŸ˜‰

It has an interactive sticky sidebar, progress bar based on scroll and obviously a CTA for checking out HelpKit.
