I'm dropping Prisma from my projects and switching to pg, pg-format and node-pg-migrate.

Replacing the type enforcing headaches and client compilation steps with more freedom to write SQL queries natively the way it was supposed to be.

I stopped using GitHub issues on my side projects. Instead, I work on them without a plan, doing whatever needs to be done in the moment.

I've increased my enjoyment, motivation and hours working on projects by 200%

I'm still working on #tweetdown! ๐Ÿš€

TweetDown remains my worse side project for the number of times that I hit a wall and wanted to quit the project, but...

...by willpower alone I've stuck with it and make small steps of progress.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Hey folks! I have an idea for all you #nodejs and #github enthusiasts out there! ๐ŸŽ‰

How about a tool that auto adds emojis to your #github action workflows? ๐Ÿค– And it's powered by your very own #openai API key! ๐Ÿ”‘

Should I build it? ๐Ÿค”

@matinglis_ There are too many #buildinpublic people who need good ideas, early validation and early adopters to be successful. They don't impress me.

I respect those who, despite a bad market, an idea not validating, users not being interested, who worked the problem and became successful.
Have you noticed a shift in the #buildinpublic community on Twitter towards a focus on money and neglecting the value of non-paying users?

Let's combat this trend by prioritizing meaningful relationships and sustainable growth over short-term gains.

What are your thoughts?
You are a SOFTWARE ENGINEER.

Don't listen to the influencers trying to make you feel guilty for not marketing.

Write a few tweets about what you're building per week, just get it done, don't worry about it, and then go back to coding A KILLER FEATURE.

#tweetdown is shutting down today โ˜ ๏ธ

I'm taking advantage of the downtime to:

* new branding
* new website
* new multi-project architecture
* support other platforms

It will become a #markdown tool for content creators.

#buildinpublic
Good tools are worth it.

I was refactoring some code and copied it into a local function, but didn't see the "this" reference until the IDE pointed it out to me (WebStorm).

Spend the money to empower yourself with good tools and you'll see a ROI.

How I used #midjourney to redesign the media manager my side project!

#TweetDown is a #markdown editor for writing Twitter threads. It's currently in beta and I'm working on support for large images and videos.

Are you a UI designer? because I'm not...

I ask #midjourney to create some UI designs for a new calendar feature on #tweetdown that I'm working on, and the inspiration is amazing.

Here are some images with feature ideas ๐Ÿ‘‡

Refactoring a ton of code today, because #TweetDown was originally designed to render code blocks from Markdown into images.

Now you can drag/drop image files, and the rendering pipeline for the Markdown needs a lot of changes.

Preview video coming soon.

Nothing easy about uploading files via a web app, through a NodeJs middleware and into a S3 bucket. Especially, if you need to break down a 1GB video file into multipart 1MB chunks.

JS developers don't get enough credit for how hard things can be.

#buildinpublic #tweetdown
Working on the next release of #TweetDown that adds support for image/video uploads with a media manager. Requires reworking a lot of code in the Markdown editor, and tracking cloud storage per user.

I'm using Epics to track this change. It's a tricky one!

Working on #tweetdown this morning after taking a few weeks off. It's cloudy, rainy and I have my morning coffee. Feels perfect for coding.

@ammar__mani @CicmilJovan Use the #buildinpublic hashtag.

Which is managed by @buildinpublic

When you use the HashTag the Tweet gets featured on their website, and they will create a custom URL for your profile.

TweetDown is well positioned as a Markdown editor for this feature. So this is good news for you beta testers.

Twitter will soon add ability to attach long-form text to tweets, ending absurdity of notepad screenshots
TweetDown my Markdown editor for writing Twitter threads is going to be rebranded so it can be used with other social networks.

I just can't think of a new name for it?

Can you share some ideas or suggestions ๐Ÿ‘‡

It's a terrible time to be an indie building any kind of Twitter app.
