Wife's away again this weekend, the perfect time to crack on with the API for @ServerAuth, currently working on the Platform side to let people generate API Keys.
Alternatively, I could play @CivGame all weekend πŸ˜… #buildinpublic or #onemoreturn
With the release of the connection testing the other day for @serverauth, it's back on with the API for ServerAuth for me #buildinpublic

What's everyone else working?
Pleased to finally release the connection testing feature last night for @ServerAuth. We see too many trials not continue after having their server setup fail due to a connection error so hopefully, this should guide some people better!

Think we're going to go with github.com/Redocly/redoc for the @ServerAuth API docs. Out the box it's producing some great looking API docs as long as you're following the OpenAPI spec! #buildinpublic
Made great progress with the API planning for @ServerAuth. For the initial set of endpoints though, we are done! πŸ’ͺ
Time to help @rickmillsuk with the firewall rollout, then I'll be back to my connection test functionality during server creation 😎
#buildinpublic
Been testing this, can’t wait to get this pushed out. Ricks done a great job with it #buildinpublic
Finishing touches nearly done on the new @serverauth firewall manager. Just gotta get those docs finished, run our final tests and we'll be ready to go! πŸš€

Time for a quick sneak peek of it in action...

Up early today, doing some prep for the @ServerAuth API and forgot to tweet about my @laravelphp response helpers package. Finally remembered to merge the PR for #Laravel 9 support the other day. #buildinpublic

@ServerAuth is out the window this weekend. Decided to scratch an itch and try to build an embeddable JS widget for an idea.
Set myself the challenge of getting it done this weekend, if I manage it great! If not, move on.

#buildinpublic
Wifes away this weekend, time to get some ServerAuth development and business admin done.
Just finished another tutorial/guide that ties nicely into the new features we just recently on @ServerAuth. That post will be coming soon!
#buildinpublic
One thing we've noticed with @ServerAuth is people setting up a server but it fails to connect, they then end up quitting their trials

So we're in the process of adding a test connection feature at the creation stage to hopefully eliminate those issues πŸ’ͺ

After starting to tweet more about @ServerAuth I kinda went quiet. The wife and I have been going through the process of becoming adoptive parents which is a tough journey!
A major milestone was hit today though so #buildinpublic will be resuming! Let's do this πŸ”₯
Back to it after doing minimal work on @serverauth during the easter break. Been working on the garden with the wife instead!

What did other #buildinpublic people get up to over the break? Working on your products or taking time away?
Another docs page done and live!

Given the time and I'm back on Dev cycle next week, time to start planning out Dev tasks so I can hit the ground running on Monday πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

My two-week cycle of marketing is coming to an end, just time to squeeze out some more help docs tonight I think before jumping back into development πŸ’ͺ

#buildinpublic people, do you ever have problems hearing back from customers?

We've tried reaching out to paying customers before to gather feedback but rarely do people reply or it's the same few each time.

What are your strategies?
Blog post is pretty much finished! @rickmillsuk will be happy too. I actually managed to use Figma to create a listing image πŸ˜…

This post will be coming out in a couple of weeks, once we've finished the spelling/grammar check!

πŸͺ HUMP DAY! Having to fight off the urge to dive into a new side project today.
I've not bought the domain yet but it's something I could #buildinpublic πŸ€”
I know @ServerAuth needs to be the priority, let's see if the willpower can stay strong
What is the consensus on using screenshots in guides/tutorials? πŸ€”

We've opted for using screenshots now in a lot of our guides to help break up the wall of text but that introduces the burden of keeping those up to date!

Is that extra burden worth it? #buildinpublic
Decided to carry on with the post I started last week, it's already shaping up to be a great guide for connecting a DigitalOcean droplet to ServerAuth!
If I do say so myself πŸ˜…

What are other #buildinpublic people working on?
With @ServerAuth we're doing 2-week cycles of marketing & dev so my second week of marketing is starting!
I'm not normally pumped for writing blog posts but let's do this πŸ’ͺ
