Just be careful when validating an idea with the #buildinpublic community. πŸ‘‡πŸ»
As wonderful as it is, peeps. are often a little bit too supportive.
Make it clear that you welcome constructive criticism, otherwise people tend to feedback only the good stuff.
Validating your SaaS idea is simply verifying that you're not building something no one cares about.

If you get some initial interest - great!

But don't consider that a guarantee.
Everything is still incredibly uncertain past that point.
A controversial topic in the Indie world... but I'm very thankful to have tests covering all my API endpoints logic. πŸ™πŸ»

I haven't worked on the API in a while and it's refreshing to know I'm not breaking anything, hopefully... πŸ˜…

I've looped back round to automated server provisioning w/ @ansible ready to host my marketing site πŸ™‚

It's just a one pager for now but it explains what it is, the problem it solves and I'm hoping it'll spark a little excitement.

@robertodigital_ "Half, not half-assed" as the saying goes. (HT @dhh and @jasonfried)

It doesn't have to be perfect, but you should be proud to put your name on any product you release.
Boo 😞 COVID took me out for ~two weeks.
The one thing I wasn't prepared for was the hit on my mental health.
Feeling a bit lost/trying to work out where I left off re. my SaaS 😿

Am I right to be switching away from Next.js to Create React App (with React Router) for a static SPA please?

Re. static - I don’t want to get involved with Node.js hosting… 🫣

Eep, I've been a bit quiet! Busy behind the scenes 🫣 Will share some updates soon. πŸ™‚

Hope all you Indie creators out there have had a productive week.

What have you been working on?

@ThePeterMick Hi Peter,
I’m Mike πŸ‘‹πŸ» (new follower here!), I've been an agency web developer for many years and I’ve recently dropped down to part-time hours to give things a go for myself, sharing my journey and learnings along the way.
I’m also here to make friends. πŸ™‚

Today marks the end of my first β€œofficial” month of indie life.
Happy despite progress feeling slow - slightly overwhelmed by the sheer amount there is to do working independently!
Excited for the months to come. πŸ₯³
