i have a tiny idea that will be fun to #buildinpublic
I see people #buildinpublic claiming ramen profitability at $7500 MMR

the hell are y’all putting in your ramen diamonds

how much ramen do y’all eat

you know maruchan is like 9 bucks the tripack right?

wha-how. just why
anyone else doing this in the #buildinpublic sphere? might help your MRR goals
if the #buildinpublic crowd was also posting operational costs
faster . but we can bend space around it so you never need to compile in the first place.

and that's the trick. science. Chief O'Brien would be proud.

Uuuff. Another long night. Things are going great! #buildinpublic Just a few more tweaks and the new dependency resolvers will be *chefs kiss*.

In roughly ~8.7 seconds we analyze ~146,000 lines of #erlang, and prepare a code database. This code db will be used later on to (1/2)
YES! I just needed a lock 🔒

A good old Arc<Mutex<()>> to serialize the service manager start calls. Too much stuff happening at the same time otherwise.

Obvs. regenerating signatures is rather slow, but here's the fix.

Aaaand resolvers bootstraped! 🚀

It's funny how sometimes the repetitive work can be so calming.

Now lets see if we can get them working on other workspaces without this self-referential issue.

#buildinpublic #rust #elixir
shortener. To see what’s working and what isn’t.

If you’re building something in elixir, mind sharing how you normally ship new features?

our new dependency resolvers rely on...themselves. Or rather, the last working version of themselves.

Selfhosting tools are tricky!

#buildinpublic #devtools #warp #buildsystems #selfhosting (2/2)
bit of overhead in process management now, but I'd happily pay that cost to get new dependencies set up basically instantly.

Just had a chat with another founder about their experience raising money, and it was super interesting.

Anyone here wants to hop on a call and talk #BuildInPublic, fundraising, and just good ole making things?
one of the nice things about trying to #buildinpublic is that the more I seem to share, the more folks reach out to help -- definitely makes you feel like there's people out there rooting for you and that's awesome
@gausby I do see your point, but what I meant is that I don’t think “they will steal my idea” is a very useful mindset.

I presume most people that can build are already building their own things.

And there’s quite a few people who #buildinpublic that aren’t doing so bad!
