There’s no better feeling than having a new project/ feature idea that you’re so excited to build that you can’t think of anything else

“Builder fever” is what I like to call it! #tweet100 #buildinpublic
Quick example of the GPT3 replier I'm playing with:

Note that I never just copy and paste the reply, but had to here to make the gif look clean! (I'm not a bot I promise) #tweet100 #buildinpublic
I hooked up a few responses from my reply campaign to GPT3 and it’s been surprisingly solid in helping write replies for SimplSQL

I’m going to flush it out a bit further and then share it here! #tweet100 #buildinpublic
I’ve had some pretty good luck marketing SimplSQL just by replying to tweets in the niche!

It has me thinking about building my own twitter dashboard for sending responses. Is playing with the Twitter API a fools game? Or could it be a fun project?🤔 #tweet100 #buildinpublic
Got this nugget from @ayushtweetshere and his most recent email course about landing pages:

“It's kind of like the first asset in your marketing stack”

I love that, and absolutely agree. First impressions matter! #tweet100 #buildinpublic
Am I the only one who uses “we” and “us” when marketing my projects, even though I’m the only one working on them?

I think it adds trust for people trying your product. Would you rather use something create by one person or by multiple people?🤔 #tweet100 #buildinpublic
I started what I’m calling a “reply campaign” to gain some early traction to my new project and was feeling disappointed at the progress

Then I received 4 sign ups overnight, and having an account isn’t even required! What a great feeling! #tweet100 #buildinpublic
Soft-launched yesterday, talked to a few customers, and QUICKLY realized my product was way too broad

I narrowed the target audience and now have a really clear goal, which is great

The bad news: I have to completely redo my current product offerings… #tweet100 #buildinpublic
For the first handful of signups for my new product, I’m going focus on engaging on social media

ie reply to tweets, Reddit posts, etc. within my niche to drive traffic

Is this the best strategy? Or should I be focusing on something different?🤔 #tweet100 #buildinpublic
Domain: bought!
Emails and socials: good to go!
Ready for launch? You bet!

Spending the rest of the weekend setting up my admin dashboard, then Monday I start my reply campaign!🚀#tweet100 #buildinpublic
Call me crazy, but I only buy a new domain AFTER I created an MVP for it

It’s not because I have amazing discipline… I’m just cheap! #tweet100 #buildinpublic
A month ago I gave up on my #buildinpublic project and started on a new one. MVP is done (which is crazy to me, thanks @bubble!) but the hard work has only just started

Current challenge: what even is SEO… #tweet100 #nocode
I just added a popup for when my web app has mobile width saying “Oops! This product is best used on desktop”

Mobile optimization can wait! I’m cutting as many corners as possible just to get my product launched #tweet100 #buildinpublic
@marc_louvion Seems so obvious to me, but this is the first time I’ve seen a #buildinpublic project work this way!

Not only is this effective for finding and bashing bugs, but I bet that user will like your product even more (assuming you fix the issue quickly)
This Thanksgiving I’m thankful for the indie community! This corner of twitter is so positive, encouraging, and inspiring🙂

#tweet100 #indiedev #buildinpublic
After avoiding it for a few months I finally created an agile board for my side projects.

I liked just doing what I felt like when it came to my projects, but being organized makes me feel way better! #tweet100 #buildinpublic
Most important lesson for building indie projects: time management/ prioritization

There will always, ALWAYS be things you want to do but don't have time for. #tweet100 #buildinpublic
I’m starting to stray from my challenge. It’s nothing crazy, but I’m not as aligned as I was at the start of it

And guess what? I don’t care! I’m having more fun while still learning a lot, which is the whole point of this for me #tweet100 #buildinpublic
I've recently realized the painful truth about how important marketing is.

I used to think that the only challenge was building your projects, but it turns out that building is the EASY part. #tweet100 #buildinpublic
It might not seem like much but it was a big win for me to get my signup/ login page completed today! From start to finish in ~2 hrs

Took a lot of playing with the right Bubble workflows but I'm really happy with the result! #tweet100 #buildinpublic
