In late 2021, @micromerch_ was just an idea. Today, we serve dozens of high-growth companies and talented creators. But it all started with our first customer, @thisiskp_, who wanted to launch a Shopify merch store focused on the #buildinpublic movement.
The thing about #buildinpublic that I struggle with the most is the concern that anything I share could be misconstrued as boasting (wins) or complaining (losses).
@agazdecki@microacquire The ultimate example of #buildinpublic. I admire your transparency. Itβs been fun to follow the process and growth the last year.
To be clear, Fast does not make swag for other companies. But I advise others who are looking for support with this. Send me a DM, Iβd be happy to help support a no-code company.
A few days ago, I built a store in public for @thisiskp_ in hours using Webflow. I also designed the hoodies, which will be printed on premium garments. The official #buildinpublic store is now open for business!
Thanks to @JakeBoyles for being the first customer! β€οΈ

Webflow allows embedded HTML content, so I thought it would be cool to embed this thread of how we built the #buildinpublic store right on the home page.
I quickly realized the Embed feature requires a hosting plan to be selected first. I thought I could do that last, but nope.
Unlike Rome, an e-commerce store can be built in a day (or even a few hours).
So when @thisiskp_ decided to make these hoodies, I pointed out that it would be fitting to share the entire process to launch his #buildinpublic store.
