With more job posts I feel it's even harder to find the right job from a users perspective. Going to work on the following things this long weekend
- store location restrictions properly
- store timezone restrictions

Add better filtering and maybe custom alerts?

Someone else building your idea is not bad news. It's free validation.

Everytime I see a "How to go from 0 to X". I end up saying to myself, I want to go there but my road to that place is going to have different turns.

Almost a 50% increase in organic clicks from last month's 800.

SEO is a gift that keeps on giving!

Surprised to see this jump in organic search clicks. Any idea on how to correlate this search traffic to specific SEO efforts?

100 Google clicks in a day is a new milestone for me 🥳🥳😍

Working on adding a salaries section in @RubyOnRemote.

It's been over 6 months that I am collecting salary data and now it's time to show it somewhere on the site 😅

@RubyOnRemote is now a 100% compliant Progressive Web App.

With a @pwabuilder score of 220!

Go ahead and try installing it on your devices. Push Notifications for new jobs are coming soon.

Bad news is: it's been a month since I made this last to-do list.

Good news is: i have got some of it done and/or simplified in scope.

With the relocation and other personal changes in life, I am glad that atleast there is progress!

My friends asked me why I haven't launched yet.

So I felt I need to answer that to myself first.

I think it all comes down to if the product works, it used to work fine until I added more features, which I felt were necessary for launch, to show value.

@Cloudflare needs to stop seducing me with the lowered Cloudflare for SaaS prices.

Previously it would have cost me $2/month/custom domain.

Now it's 100 free and $0.10/month/custom domain.

No brainer.

What are some habits or routines that help you ship more as an indie hacker?

#buildinpublic
TIL: `.local` is a reserved keyword in Ubuntu.

address=/appbasics.local/127.0.0.1 (won't work in dnsmasq)

address=/appbasics.test/127.0.0.1 (works in dnsmasq)

Spent 3 hours scratching my head 🤣🤫

Problem solved.

I was struggling with @app_basics to renew wildcard subdomains and sync them to @BunnyCDN.

Luckily saw the post from @Cloudflare , went to DNS settings and added a new wildcard subdomain record. And I am done 😂

It's crazy how @RubyOnRemote is growing.

Never have I ever thought that a company like @dnsimple would post a job, let alone know my site.

#buildinpublic
I have mountains of evidence that @app_basics is running late 😂

Sorry it's been a hard few weeks moving to a new country and settling in.

I am hoping this weekend I can put some good hours in and push to completion.

#buildinpublic is not just for indie hackers. I keep seeing immerging companies and products that share updates before product has even launched to gain some early believers.

@UFLgame is doing that.
We are now changing the format of our #UFLDevDiary to allow our community get a closer look at the development process.

The new format is already in production. Stay tuned!
- store column and image resize info once after dragging ends instead of current multiple requests while dragging.
- add a landing page
- enable sending invites for admin
- setup some basic log monitoring
- test SSL expiration which will happen on 7th May.

I didn't do much on @app_basics last few days except for testing.

#buildinpublic
Column resizing is finally coming around for @app_basics

Previously I would change width of the column in pixels on mousemove event.

Now I reduce the initial ratio it had and the previous column had so it looks like they are growing and shrinking.
