✅ Had a nice opportunity to connect with Shopify staff & discuss on Functions.
✅ Though slow, coding is in progress…

✅ App ideation & scoping down for v1
✅ Project repo & dev environment initialized with boilerplate
✅ Hosted server setup (prod server)
✅ Tested web app and extension deployments
There were few hiccups, but all set to code now!

Last year @ShopifyDevs started the #buildinpublic initiative just before BFCM, and I wanted to build a new app but didn't. It's been >2 yrs since I wrote code, but looking forward to shake off the rust by this BFCM '22. Will share the journey here.

Switching a @Shopify app from free to freemium is a nervous moment for @ShopifyDevs. This is what we found: Installs can reduce by 50% 😬. Might be better if there aren't many competing apps, and if there are channels other than app store.

Somehow we ended up doing a Shopify app in a crowded segment and our sub-category rank started at ~300. With months of effort we managed to rank higher despite having lower total review count… (1/2)
