Took the last week off of indie hacking to enjoy the sun, BBQ with friends, eat good food and play Diablo IV. Feeling pretty rejuvenated and ready to crack on.

What are people working on this week?

A day of rest πŸ™πŸΌ

But I might do some writing for my LiveView book - anyone else find it relaxing?

Feels like the AI hypetrain is dying down a little.

Anyone else feel that way?

I've finally gotten access to bluesky.

Anyone on there I should explicitly follow in the @elixirlang or #buildinpublic community?
Working on multiple features and products at once is exhausting but rewarding. I've been getting burnt out lately and spent the last few days playing Diablo IV instead of writing or programming.

I feel guilty.

Should I?

Is this normal?

I had a suggestion for on Twitter since I #buildinpublic.

I implemented it and shipped it in 15 minutes.

The system works people.
As an indie hacker, making a sale is an incredible rush.

It's a surreal feeling to think that this combination of logic and pixels is worth real money to someone. ❀️

What's the most kick-ass piece of code or functionality in your latest project that makes you proud?

Want to cure procrastination? Celebrate small victories.

It’s easy to ship a small feature to get the ball rolling.

Build it

Ship it.

Tweet it.

Had an entire weekend of not doing any work and it felt so good.

Went to a doughnut making class, a nice restaurant, played Diablo IV, and celebrated my partners birthday.

Sometimes a little pause is perfect for productivity

No one will remember:
- Your fancy title
- Your salary
- How hard you worked

People will remember:
- That time you deployed to production on a Friday and ruined their weekend

Don’t do it.

(Unless you’re an indiehacker)
Lemon squeezy subscriptions to go and tidying up the homepage and I’m ready to launch @tinytales_hq 🀩

The last 20% really does take 80% of the time

For any developers that stream code - is there any negative to putting the VoDs on YouTube?

Tips appreciated πŸ™πŸ»

Finding it such a nice way to #buildinpublic.
If you could rebuild your entire project from scratch, what would you do differently?

Curious to see people’s tech debt regrets.

I got access to resend email - but there’s no support for templates?

Can’t say I’d find it too useful if I have to roll my own emails compared to alternatives.

Am I missing something?

I’ve split my weekend into a great mix of doing work on my projects (and live streaming them!), spending time with family and taking time to relax and enjoy the weather.

Don’t get stuck in a rut.

Give yourself a break and organise things.

We’re done! It was really fun and we got a full implementation for search built in @tinytales_hq !

I think I’m gonna do more of that, I really enjoyed it.

Thanks to all who came to support!
You never forget your first ❀️

I’m going to be live-stream implementing search functionality in @elixirlang and LiveView for @tinytaleshq at 14:00 BST tomorrow!

It’s my first time streaming code 😬

Come along and support / learn / critique πŸ™πŸ»

I’m going to be live streaming programming part of my start up Tiny Tales in 2 hours on to implement searching through tales for all users πŸ™πŸ»

Everyone loves it when people watch them do their work intently and critically assess them right?
