I only heard this advice after I joined Twitter and started following the #buildinpublic tweets.

Would have helped a lot if I would have received this advice before I started building.

After wasting almost one week trying to implement this manually, I finally realized that it's close to impossible.

So I decided to use the Maps API from Google and I solved it in less than 2 hours.

Lesson learned: Don't try to reinvent the wheel.

When we launched krumzi.com, we decided to let the users input their location.

We soon came to regret that decision as now we have "fff" countries and "ggg" cities 😂

Lesson learned: Don't give users too much freedom

After struggling with this for a few days, I finally managed to dynamically build the URL based on filters.

I also added job categories in order to make the job search easier.
