it's been a minute and i haven't even checked up on #buildinpublic.. i remember i was on it and there were all those hall monitors telling everyone what's appropriate and what's not to tweet on the tag.

i dfw hall monitors. not before, not now, not ever.
So let's air this shit out. @TimothyBramlett doing the whole #buildinpublic (which I was doing too). I literally was writing a blog post last night with a shoutout to his startup. Is that how Austin people do?

Yeah, I'm calling you out.
Past couple weeks have been downers for me. This happens whenever there is a lull in returns from whatever I'm working on. I doubt myself and question everything. I even started working on a pitch deck to see if I can justify myself to myself. Well, shit, I'm back! #buildinpublic
I'm struggling to get to validate a fully automated frictionless experience and so will be switching to manually onboarding some users to see how that affects user engagement. Noticing a lot of users can't figure things out on their own. #buildinpublic
Today, I managed to get a crash course on audio and know enough to know what questions to ask (I'm starting from 0). Happy with the result and now it's time to record those video demos. The boring but necessary work begins. #buildinpublic
When it comes to content marketing, one must "trust the process", which takes forever. As you do, you should also know that you are likely to experience heightened levels of blood pressure, anxiety, panic attacks and ulcers.

You ever wonder why restaurants don't #buildinpublic, yet we're out acting like cooks asking customers how they like that extra guac on the back of the rack.. it's that tech stack.

I'm a Chef. You will like it how I built it dammit! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
Today, I reviewed my startup progress and to see if I am on track. The sad part is, I am absolutely on track, if not slightly better in some cases. But in my plan there is a breakaway event that happens at an unpredictable point. Am I alone in this? #buildinpublic #indiehackers
This other listening app who also is/was #Buildinpublic .. he really should just join me, but it looks like he'd rather keep his day job at Microsoft. Yes, it's a subtweet but he doesn't follow me. Very annoying, cause I see the potential. #indiehackers
Discovered that I had something break over the weekend and had to fix it. In PHP. Ugh. I've been so happy working with Python that even looking at PHP makes me anxious. Maybe replace the entire backend with Python and leave that blob of React alone lol #buildinpublic
What I learned about SEO so far:
1โƒฃSearch engines can like bullshit content, but visitors won't.
2โƒฃSearch engines don't necessarily appreciate good content, but they're the gatekeepers.
3โƒฃAdapting good/interesting content for SEO, degrades quality a bit.

Github tells a story of how I started out with a team then ended up having to do my own coding. We're in for some darker days. #buildinpublic
Day 1 #buildinpublic for Creator the influencer marketing app. Django tech stack. Managed to get jwt authentication and oauth set up, initial db schema done. It's so nice to work with Python again.
There is a gaping hole between influencer marketing and advertising. I want this tiny little sliver for mid to small biz products/brands. I want to create an alternative to advertising, with money direct to influencers. A little fintech in there #buildinpublic #newproject
I feel like I'm entering into a dark phase, leaving the bright open windows of management to the basement of hackers. I'm spending more time coding and less time marketing. #indiehackers #buildinpublic
I'm running an ad but the conversion rates on the landing page are way too low (1%). The same landing page performs ~15-27% depending on source (e..g PH ~25%, organic search ~17%..). Click-fraud or my landing page for ppc? @seacatbiz I added A/B with pricing, thnx #buildinpublic
A downside to the name socialhose is that whenever I want to type 'localhost' I'm always misspelling it as localhose. In other news, started working on the AI component. Django looking all kinda sexy. #buildinpublic #indiehackers
I think, part of it, is realizing that it's been 6 months since I set up the AWS servers, and I'm looking at a few dozen registered users and 0 paying customers. Is it what I expected? More or less. Why am I feeling down about it? #buildinpublic #founders #startups
