I’ve decided to go back to work full-time to ensure a consistent income whilst slowly building my SaaS projects on the side. Can’t decide whether I have failed or simply adjusted/pivoted. #buildinpublic

Just purchased several domains through auction at park.io the plan is to turn these around quickly into little side hustles and generate small MRR profits on each of them. Some will be affiliate based, some I will build software for. Part of my #buildinpublic

I’m a software engineer and digging deeper, my niche is communication. So, voice, email, real-time chat, bots, videos etc. I think there is so many possibilities when integrating with AI and ML. The plan with @_livemessage is to bring my crazy ideas to life. #buildinpublic #SaaS

I'm also going to overhaul my blog and make it more personable and indie/coder friendly and share more with the community than just my #buildinpublic life.

To elaborate I think I’m too generous, I have a passion for giving and love helping people. Maybe I should reign it in when it is detrimental to myself.

I also reduced my client list down to 2 to concentrate on my #saas adventure & trying to #buildinpublic but it’s backfiring.

As I progress through building @_livemessage I absolutely understand why people want to build businesses with a business partner. Not just to work on parts that I have no skill in, but to collaborate and bounce ideas off each other

Half way through:

So, last night was fun. Whilst testing functionality for @_livemessage I had old credentials for the company I sold (CallNow) in my .env file that they haven't changed.

I just deleted a dozen of their live customers from a 3rd party API 🙈

Today has been about streamlining the tasks/issues in Github that will allow me to launch a beta version of @_livemessage. Then from Monday, I will start smashing through them. I've set myself a target of 15th April. I Will also share visuals.

After reading @arvidkahl's Zero to One book, I have been re-energised to continue my Saas to Profit journey.

A question. When you #buildinpublic and have other projects on the back-burner, do you keep them a secret and to yourself until you start working on the project or happily talk about them across the different platforms you use?

@kevon69 @arvidkahl I was doing this with @_livemessage over at jamiebrown.dev and Twitter but life got in the way as well as client work and I went quiet. But I’m going to pick this back up as I really want to #buildinpublic both the ups and downs to hopefully inspire others.
