โ IndieBooks v1.2 pending review in the Chrome store! ๐ Ability to adjust settings, filters and location ๐ Integrated @googleanalytics so that I can see which stores are getting the most action ๐ฃ Link for easy feedback
I spent the last 2 days on the options/preferences menu on @IndieBooksApp. Now you can choose how many shops to display, ability to view bookstores with or without ecommerce websites and ability to change your location!
Updated the settings popup for @IndieBooksApp today. I found after some user feedback that some would like to see bookstores that don't have ecommerce sites and wanted to have the ability to view more options. Still need to wire it up, but here's how it's coming!
The ISBN13 is actually calculated using the old ISBN10 num. So with a little bit of math, it shouldnโt be a problem ๐๐ผ It may actually be a bit faster since I can get the value from the URL instead of scraping the page itself!
Bad news: Apparently Amazon removed the ISBN-13 number from the book product detail pages which IndieBooks was using in the l bookstore links... completely bricking the extension.
Looks like Iโve found a fix, tho! The ISBN-10 number is in the URL ๐
I'm about to launch the IndieBooks beta... Any tips on testing a beta with early users? ๐ How to get early feedback? Quantitative and Qualitative. ๐ข Gathering suggestions, ideas, potential features?
Landing page for IndieBooks. First time using @umsohq and was super easy! It's not as configurable as other tools, but for how little time I put into the page, I think it turned out pretty solid.
I'm struggin with the copy on these buttons. They're pretty small which I feel is impacting the copy... should I stack them? Then I could fit copy like "Buy at Bookshop.org" and "Buy at local bookstore"
I definitely need to work on their colors too ๐ค #buildinpublic
The last think I did was play around with the popup and adding the ability for the user to change their zip manually. So now users can support local bookshops in locations other than their own... so like their favorite shops in their college town or vacation spot! #buildinpublic
@yodanparry This is awesome! Today is my first day of #buildinpublic and I definitely should do something like this to keep track of all of my projects...
