I'm doing the bootstrap thing and building an analytics tool for the freedom. Not only for myself, but I like others to be free as well (hence why I build what I build).

So, what are your reason for building things?

Just had a talk with a designer for the sales-funnel analytics project, it's fun to see the design coming together. Will search for a frontender next, because I'm terrible at it ๐Ÿ˜…

My goal is a calm business.
Steady growth, stable systems, few but wellfunctioning features.

This clashes hard with people prepaying for basically undefined features ๐Ÿ˜…

Every tuesday I will give my honest reading of your short product pitch or homepage. Give a url/pitch as a comment and I'l get to it as soon as I can.

Find out if a indie-project leader can figure out why he should order your product. ๐Ÿ˜…

I think a good analogy for ChatGPT is not bitcoin or NFT:s, but 3d printing.

When 3d printing got started, it was obvious it was a good idea, and we thought it would take the world by storm, and in some sense it has. But it also has a lot of limitations.

Okey, letโ€™s have a thread on how to do user onboarding well.

I define user onboarding as how to turn a first time user to a returning ones. Or in other words; how to avoid users churning out the first chance they get.

If your doing on-prem installs with your software, make certain that there are no issues when switching urls (like, when your upgrading and you don't want to expose the upgraded server to the internet before doing a test).

The problems I have to deal with...

1 hour onboarding actionable tips for 40% of the SaaS companies out there:

This will be a thread discussing my trial of the twitter follower strategies of @jebraat and @arvidkahl and how well they correspond with the algorithm.

Outcome: Using Jebraatโ€™s strategy I went from 78 to 133 followers, or 1.8 per day.
