Just shipped this! It will be interesting to see the impact that it has on SEO. Right now the site has more than 3000 pages but less than 20 are indexed by Google. Internal linking is important!
September was a rough month for my programmatic SEO project, Episode Ninja. Traffic has been trending down all year and this is the lowest it's been since February 2020.
I have to remind myself that getting *only* 260k visitors in a month is still amazing!
Due to rate limits on the GitHub API, Repo Trends uses an SQS queue with a lambda consumer to manage importing repo issue and PR data as users request them on the site.
It was super satisfying to see the queue fill up and then slowly empty during a traffic spike!
Hit another milestone on Episode Ninja - 2000 registered users! It took 13 months to go from 0 to 1000 but only another 5 months to go from 1000 to 2000. #indiehackers
Tweeting about this project as I go has resulted in some fantastic idea validation.
I suspected that devs would be interested in these stats and got a huge response from the Laravel community on this tweet, including replies and retweets from core team members.
I need to find a good way to visualize this but Laravel seems to be doing a great job of closing issues quickly. They have roughly the same total number of issues as Rails (~14k) but only have SEVEN open right now!
