My, oh, my this feels good. Authentication is fully set up. I love the modern tooling we have for dev. By making use of AWS Cognito and @tailwindui I've chopped a TON of dev time off. #buildinpublic
gm #buildinpublic, Iβm about to kick off day 3 of my push. Yesterday I got past the backend and setup my frontend. Got stuck with an annoying bug in create react app 5.0.0. May go back to 4.x this morning if I canβt resolve this ESLint compile issue quickly.
What they don't tell you about building a SaaS. How much time you spend googling random errors vs actual coding/marketing/etc. π± #buildinpublic#startups
Lunch π₯, workoutπΆπ»ββοΈ, fed the π, now time to get back at it. I really enjoy working from home, but working from home on my own project π₯ #buildinpublic
Decision made. I'm starting the frontend and API from scratch. There are 3 major updates in my stack I want to make use of: @tailwindui supports react better, API definition isn't YAML based, and I want to use @HookForm#buildinpublic
And here goes something! Kicking off my #buildinpublic week on @interweave. Started my day with the same routine as a normal workday some time for prayer, βοΈ, and a workout (a newer addition).
I know what I'm making, just have to figure out where I'm starting from.
Monday morning I start my #buildinpublic marathon to launch @InterweaveApp. Super excited. I operate best with tight deadlines, so I should be at my best β¦ and holy crap what have I committed too! π
T-minus 18 days till my "5 days of #buildinpublic". I'll be working on my side-project 5 days straight. My goal is to go from idea/mockups/landing page β‘ code β‘ launch during the week between Christmas and New Years Day.
Made myself a handy roadmap to beta last night. Awesome to see the path to launch now. I'm using Interweave daily and that's highlighted some obvious needs. But more importantly, it's highlighted what a whole product solution looks like. #BuildInPublic
11 weeks into my #BuildInPublic of @Interweave. The last few weeks have been slow going as I grappled learning some fundamentals of AWS Serverless computing. π€
But week 11 put that part of the saga behind me and I'm back making clear product progress again. ππ»
For those following along on my #BuildInPublic journey, I've finally beat my DynamoDB data model and my API's for it are all done. I'm back solidly in app making land again! π FEELS SO GOOD!!!
Side project weekly progress report time! What can you get done working nights and weekends (while not ignoring you loving family)? A surprising amount, just not always what you want though. #buildinpublic Here's what got done this week on @InterweaveApp
