@alexisgrant @TheyGotAcquired Thanks for this transparency.

I was just talking to someone yesterday about how #buildinpublic often seems to talk about every but the finances (which is often the hardest part!).

I'll be following along!
@NotechAna @theandreboso I worked for a market research firm for a few years prior to this. But I didn't bring any clients over.

But I think that era -- even just 5 years ago -- was a bit different. I started PeopelFish in 2016. There wasn't much #buildinpublic going on back then.
Almost everyday, founders ask me for advice on launching their startup.

Most of what I say in response is in here 👇👇

#buildinpublic #startup #indiehackers #nocode
Trying to get your #startup off the ground?

Here's how I did it, from pre-launch to passing $2 million lifetime revenue last year.

One of my '22 goals is to help others by talking more about my journey. Thanks @Ned_Arick + @hilmonsorey!

This is built on Bubble and it works like a charm. But I'm hungry for your feedback. Especially on whether the landing page clearly explains the functions and purpose of this platform.

Thoughts?

Had a great time at this event! Thanks @AnthonyCastrio

I HIGHLY recommend this group to #indiehackers, #buildinpublic-ers -- anyone trying to build & launch great products.

(BTW @DaveSchoools this is first time I've used Hopin since I tested it w/you before it even launched!)
Another great @indie_worldwide worldwide to kick off the year with 🥰

Thank you all for coming out today, already looking forward to the next one 🌏🌍🌎
Not gonna lie...

Being featured at @IndieHackers was one of my biggest wins this year.

In the grand scheme, it's just a blog post. But it led to a TON of amazing connections here on Twitter. The #buildinpublic community is pretty great. 😎

Is it a good idea to #buildinpublic?

Yes, I think so.

But that doesn’t mean to throw caution to the wind.

Let me explain…
I started a subreddit!

r/ProductMarketFit

It's designed specifically for the @IndieHackers community, #nocode-rs, #buildinpublic people, and anyone else who wants to learn more about validating products in the real-world.

Updated the Willingness to Pay tool at MR4S.co last night. #buildinpublic

(I'm getting a lot of questions about this project. Yes, it's #nocode. Built on WordPress. Nothing fancy! The survey fielding happens manually, for now.)
It's crazy.

I started people.fish in 2016.

Back then, there was no real #buildinpublic community to speak of. #nocode was barely a thing. #indiehacking sounded like something sinister.

Launching my company in 2021 would have been a COMPLETELY different experience.
In case you didn't hear...

I'm GIVING AWAY one of my side projects.

Yes, for FREE. To the #indiehacker, #entrepreneur, #buildinpublic-er, or #nocode-r of my choice.

It's called SincerelyMe.us.

Why am I doing this?

👇🏽
2021 revenue for my projects:

People.Fish $211K
Consulting: $10K
SurveySays.app: $4K
MailThis.co: $350
MR4S.co: $300
SincerlyMe.us: $50

2022 goal: Get MR4S.co to the top of this list.

Here's something I made 4 yrs ago. Wish I'd knew about #buildinpublic back then.

A 20-page, in-depth report on the #coworking industry, featuring a survey of 304 people who work(ed) at cowork spaces, plus 16 in-depth interviews of cowork space owners.

@arvidkahl No issues. Just want to have a site ready to visit before I start #buildinpublic. Almost there!

(As you probably know, getting a site up is about .01% of the battle, so still plenty of building left to do!)
... I'm looking for writers! These don't have to be professional writers or even seasoned writers. In particular, I'm looking for people who want to start earning $$ for their writing.

A few names from the #buildinpublic community come to mind...
I've sort of broke the #buildinpublic rule by being so quiet about this. But I dont want to distract from people.fish, since this is a completely different venture.
What's an example of a #buildinpublic startup that became super successful?
#buildinpublic update:

Doing a four-week trailing today.

I've been exceptionally busy with anything but MR4S.co these past few days. Not what I prefer, but can't be helped. Hoping to ramp things back up next week.

Just trying to get eyes on page rn.
#buildinpublic update for MR4S.co:

Big spike yesterday bc of @IndieHackers feature. One sale since launch on 10/18. Dozens of demos.
