The rumors are true! @_joshuafonseca and I are starting a podcast: HackerPod. We'll share our strategies, struggles, and wins as we try to launch our own profitable online businesses.
Of course I'll #buildinpublic, so prepare for some podcast threads later 👀
If anyone's looking for some #buildinpublic inspiration, follow @jones_spencera. He's building @chime_social in public, and following along his journey has motivated my own.
That's one of the great things about #buildinpublic - you can find motivation in others' journeys.
@thisiskp_ I find Twitter #buildinpublic is a place to discover all three of these C's. Build in public friends to give you courage, building in public yourself to drive commitment, and the entire build in public movement to provide community.
@AyushAgr91 I have my own opinion about hashtags (I think they're really not necessary unless they're related to a specific niche/community, like #marketingtwitter or #buildinpublic), but definitely better than mass-tagging!
We updated our landing page and website at tenderfoot.io! Gave our website a HUGE makeover with mega design and copy upgrades! Peep what our old page looked like below 👀
The tweet above itself is part of the validation process in deciding whether or not to start on a new product. Tagged it #buildinpublic so others can see and perhaps deciding if creating a poll for their own product validation in worth it
I started becoming active on Twitter a month ago. In that time, I gained over 1000 followers and built up an avg engagement rate of 5.3% (the avg is 0.07%).
I might build a no-bullshit guide on how to get your first 1000 followers. Is this something you'd pay for? #buildinpublic
In classic #buildinpublic fashion, here's a sneak peak of some of the designs I'm working on for tenderfoot.io!
It's my first time trying mobile-first design (considered better than desktop-first), but transitioning from mobile to desktop is difficult for me. Any tips?
I come from a hyper-professional background where professional headshots are must-haves.
However, Twitter isn't LinkedIn. Especially in the #buildinpublic and #indiehackers corner of Twitter, a friendly, clean, and casual profile image is preferred.
@MarcKoenig_@dvassallo I would add "scrutiny" to this list. Many Twitch streamers have given up due to the toxicity of their chat. They just can't take it. Being in public can be very hard. I'm glad the #buildinpublic community is more supportive, else many more budding entrepreneurs would give up.
