"I won't let numbers define me"

I've been repeating this mantra since I woke up.

My newsletter has grown of 0 new subscribers for the 1st time since I started.

In this rushing world, it doesn't sound good.

Sharing a #buildinpublic and a personal moment of hope and growthπŸ‘‡
Stick with what works and with that I mean not just in terms of numbers, but how you feel. If it doesn’t feel good probably it’s not working. I joined #buildinpublic for some time. It turned out it wasn’t right for me at that time but it helps in other ways.
And TILT#15 with the breakdown of Slack is out. I was and am kinda nervous. In the past week, more than 100 people signed up. It's such an honor to be able to share my thoughts and my forensic work (πŸ˜…) with so many people #buildinpublic
First issue with Revue...the link to export the contacts doesn't work 😑 That is a bad bad issue #buildinpublic
If you want to learn how to #buildinpublic Kevon is your man. And he is one of the kindest people I have met on Twitter πŸ™‚
Totally blown away by how many people want to learn Build in Public!

So I added a new session on Nov 18, you can join πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡
Now it is possible to subscribe to my newsletter directly from my Twitter profile 😎 Let’s see if it makes a difference 😊 #buildinpublic
And TILT#14 is out!!! Includes the Buffer breakdown and the link to the new, totally independent, website. I'm so looking forward to hearing feedback πŸ™‚πŸ™‚ #buildinpublic
@davenemetz You should have! Now you’d be sharing a new version of #buildinpublic πŸ˜‚
Tomorrow I will be posting the breakdown of the first years of @buffer Stay tuned. It is one of the most interesting research I have dived in! #buildinpublic #newsletter
TILT has become quite popular (at least at my eyes. I know this statement is debatable :D) so I decided it deserves a home by itself. I put together this week a new website for it. Wordpress. Super simple. I dont really have time for fancy. Simple will do it :) #buildinpublic
Yesterday a reduced version of TILT went out. I've had a few rough weeks and instead of sending out something rushed I decided to be honest and postpone this issue. Many people wrote to me. I'm so grateful. It's awesome to have an audience that cares about you!! #buildinpublic
@FreeFinancialSF @IgorRanc #buildinpublic can be 1 channel but it strongly depends on the product. When you build in public you share with anyone who's willing to listen but it doesn't mean that the right people are listening. And just that might not be enough especially if you want to grow fast
Sent out the archaeology of Mailchimp around lunchtime. Dying to hear feedback. If you'd read it let me know!!!! πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚ PS: Thank you @AlexMano12 for yours. #buildinpublic
Tomorrow I will be sending out the breakdown of the first years of MailChimp and let me tell you this one was hard! Mailchimp was born in 2001. Google in 1998. Forget about social media. I had to dig really hard to make sense of their first years! #buildinpublic #newsletter
TILT has reached 99 subscribers πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ I would have never even imagined 😍 Now waiting for my 100th #buildinpublic
In the last issue of TILT, in the column 'The archeology of 0 to 1' I reverse-engineered the first years of Canva.
Canva, which lately raised 200 million USD, is now evaluated at 40 billion USD and one of the fastest growing tech companies!

Update on my newsletter
TILT#11 Canva: From yearbook to 40 billion USD - How it went
Total Subscribers: 87
New Ones: 4
Unsubscribers: 1
Open rate: 39%+34% (I had to send it twice 😒)
#buildinpublic
I'm back at my desk and I started my week with a big smile. On Friday I sent out TILT together with the archeology of Canva. I received wonderful feedback from 3 different people. That is what makes it all worth it 😍#buildinpublic
I've just finished my research for the next product breakdown. It is Canva, and unlike Airbnb, I will indeed publish it next week as a case study for "The Archeologist of 0 to 1" which is now a regular column within my newsletter TILT. So exciting! #buildinpublic #learninpublic
For the next "archeology of 0 to 1" - understand how famous startups took off in their first years of life - I thought I would go for Airbnb, but after a little digging I decided to change the subject. I still want to share here the findings and why I stopped #buildinpublic
